Stunning work, your kids are going to love looking back at these when they are older too.
Hope so
when's the DG DN Deez Nutz merch coming out?!? Lol...I think you'd sell more than a few.
Lol
Facts! I'd buy something lol
Beautiful video. I just shot some pictures with the a7S III and the Sigma 24-70 DG DN. I was quite surprised with the outcome. The pictures came out pretty awesome for a video centric camera. Btw... your youngest is pretty much a spitting image of you. Keep up the good work Vu.
🤙🤙thanks man
Beautiful family and story. I also run the 1/4 and love it. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching 🙏
This is perfect. Blackpromist takes off the edge of the ultra sharp sigma lenses
🤙🤙
Greatest filter ever
This is Vu Doo Cinematography. I wish I had this talent. Great stuff man.
Thanks for watching bro
So good!
Gorgeous work!
Thank you
You are waaay more then videographer! Telling a story in a test video....in your nearby farm...I love it ...I did the same thing yesterday, just without the equipment. So much color, joy and fun family times...I did end up with 20 lb of 🍏 😂...lol
🤙🤙🤙
This looks incredible! We’ve talked a little on the A7Siii Facebook page. I have the 1/8 BPM filter this makes me think I need the 1/4 as well! Great job!
Maybe get both depending on what you are working on.
@@nVuFilms Exactly
Mini me looks so like you - nice work Vu ⭐
Thanks man
ordered a 1/8 to go with my sigma as well, definitely helps since sigma is so sharp
🤙
Nice ... that's how it should look when called cinematic. Watched a comparison between the a7S iii and the bmpc6 and the main difference that made it more pleasing on the BM was the difference sharpness. That's all gone in your footage.
It's all about the grading. The data is all there for us to play with.
People are comparing slog3 vs other cameras and not even using / exposing slog3 properly.
Really nice looking images! Just ordered this lens to go on an FX6. Have the filter already too. If I can get anywhere near these results from the combo I'll be stoked!
Cool
Nice video! Thinking of selling my BMPCC 4K to get this 📷. If it is ever in stock again!
🤙🤙🤙
Beautiful!
Thanks!
Your children will thank you oneday in future. I thank you today for your great work.
Hope so
Beautiful ! I have the same lens and was hesitating between the 1/4 an dthe 1/8 black mist... You convinced me! Did you also use a ND filter?
I didn't use nd. Just cranked shutter 🤣🤦♂️
you should post more 'idiotic' personal projects more often... this was amazing to watch.. thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching
Beautiful 😍...like always
I'm confused, I watched the video where you said the 1/4 sometimes was too much and that you'd have the 1/8 mist filter glued to your camera, but this footage looks amazing. I've actually bought the 1/4 version, and your video made me think about my decision of getting the 1/8 instead of the 1/4, what would you recommend me ??
If you liked this video. 1/4 is for you 🤙
awesome !! can you add an nd filter with this ? I have a tiffen variable nd filter , does it work on top of it ?
Yes
Love the way you put this together. #vudeographer
Thanks 🙏
broski throw a lil negative Midtone detail in there, mello out that razor sharpness
i think it looks perfectly fine tho.
@@iz5442 maybe you are not watching on a 4k screen then?
@@nicholasboule5134 not gonna lie i am not
Just found your channel and i love it! we run the same lens! 😄 becareful with it tho might collect dust in the internal glass
I got some
Minor dust. Doesn't show up on footage.
@@nVuFilms havent got dust in mine yet and i’m hoping i wont! or i’ll make use of the 3 years sigma warranty everytime theres a speck of dust! lol
Should try the cinebloom next Vu!
Same thing lol
Very nice video. What was your decision making process for going with Artlist? The price looks good and I am trying to make a decision. Some services have OK prices for UA-cam content but their commercial content prices are brutal. Other services have a ton of content -- but it is almost too much content if that makes sense.
Artist has good selection with good quality music. Instrumentals are good etc
Beautiful work...from a Canon fan boy 😀. Haha "DN" lenses.
🤙🤙🤙🙏 lol thanks
Beautiful footage. I'm going after the same setup. How is the autofocus of Sigma? Is it a bit choppy when focusing between distant objects? Also, did you set the white balance on auto or manually?
Auto wb. Af is fantastic
What size filters did you use: Tiffen 77mm Black Pro Mist 1/8 Filter or 1/4 Filter ?
amazing work 👍 💪

Im about to get this exact set up so im happy i found this.
Are you happy with the sigma lens?
Very
@@nVuFilms Thank u!
I deciding between 1/4 and 1/8 strength.
how much you want it to look filmic?
Think one should buy both strengths, 1/4 and 1/8. Reason No 1: the effect is stronger on a wide lens, less prominent on a long lens. To look consistent, you'd need 1/8 for a 24mm and 1/4 for a 85mm. Reason No 2: You may want a more subtle effect every now and then. Reason No 3: You can stack them to become a 3/8, for the dream sequences. Like here:

@@AxelGizmo Good call. I'll get 1/8 first.
@@frankfeng2701 Good choice. 1/4 is too strong.
♥ Quay quá đẹp nha anh..
The star of the movie is really cute!!
Thanks
Vu did look good, didn’t he?
Were you also using an ND filter paired with the promist?
No
I went for the 1/8, really pleased with that one as well. Great addition, but not for every shot in my experience. This is my first Sony camera, one thing I can't find an answer to - does it not go into sleep mode, and turn off the camera? All other cameras I've owned, goes into standby to preserve battery, but not Sony?
U can set it for standby in menu
@@nVuFilms Ive set Power Save Start Time to 10 sec - but screen never turns off, is it supposed to turn off?🤷🏼♂️
@@millmountain not sure. My cameras turn off after awhile . Unless screen is flipped out
@@nVuFilms EDIT - Just found the solution! 🎉 IR Remote Control was on - apparently that stops it from going to sleep 😃
Hi vu. Are you also going to upload the rsc2 vs weebill s today? I am kind of excited for that. Just wanna know if it was a good decision to return my weebill s to amazon. Lol
Not today
And of course the video and the Sony and the Sigma they all perform awesome, in your experienced hands! I have a quick question about external workflow video storage… Not sure if that’s the best place to ask you?
I use ssd externally
Did you stack ND filter and the Promist together?
U can
Very nice! Footage looks incredible. Did you use a ND-Filter on top the TBPM-Filter?
I am thinking of getting the new PolarPro PMCK II Edition for my A7Siii, but i am not sure if i should get the 2-5 stop or 6-9 stop version. do you have any suggestion? My primary lens is the Sigma 24-70 deez nutz ;)
Haven't tried the be pmd
Quick question I have this exact same lens, what mm should I buy for the black pro mist filter ??? :)
Great shots ! I've noticed a focus issue with my A7siii when filming some wide angle landscape shots, front lit. The AF-C (Large + Zone) seems sometimes to be "hunting", doing micro adjustments. This happens with both my Sony 24mm 1.4 and my Tamron 28-75mm, especially when shooting wide open. Wondering if some other A7siii users have also encountered this problem ?! NB. I have done the exact same shots with my good old A7iii, with no AF-C issue at all
If there is nothing specific to focus on.. such as landscape. I probably want to MF
Love the color! Did you use a LUT?
Just Sony SLOG3 lut
Nice film. Sometimes I have the feeling that the shutter speed is too fast. Did you not use an ND filter?
I didnt
One question. Did the Prores RAW have white balance, ISO adjustability?
Haven't tried
No, not at this time. I can send you a RAW file to play with if you like 😊
@@millmountain yes, please do. I’d like to try it myself. Philip Bloom did say that Assimilate Scratch can activate all the raw functions of Prores RAW from the Sony A7Siii in his film Paddle Board. But I’ve not seen anyone doing it on the latest FCPX yet. He recorded it on an Atomos Shinobi with a beta version of the firmware.
@@rondonski101 So just a simple test shot I did, to see how flexible it was when I first got the camera : we.tl/t-hgw3iqpJQk
@@millmountain Thank you so much, Morten! I've ordered two and waiting for delivery.
do you lower in camera sharpening/detail?
Slog3 does that auto
Beautiful family! Bring them down to the beach Ocean City Maryland, give me a call.
🙏thanks !
