I just found your channel and I love toads and frogs. I live in America and have a outdoor frog bog in my garden. I walk by and hear a plonk! now and then. I live near a woods and we get tree frogs, green frogs, lace frogs, and big garden toads; such a joy.
I never knew frogs could be kept as pets and I never knew how cute a frog or toad could be. I especially love the little round ones with those adorable short legs. I believe it is called the common rain frog.
@@morganpriest7726 They could be, couldn't they? Here in Australia we, very occasionally, get plagues of locusts, but when they arrive, they arrive in biblical proportions. And, of course, they eat EVERYTHING, leaving total destruction in their wake. Anyway, the Australian government decided to introduce another species in order to deal with the plagues and that was the Cane Toad, which loves feasting on locusts! The only problem ( LOL!!!) is that now, the Cane Toad has become a MUCH WORSE PEST than the locusts!
@@morganpriest7726 Tree frogs just look pretty much the same everywhere, with minor differences. Which makes sense because the same adaptations would presumably work in any forest, green coloration for camoflage, sticky feet for climbing trees, long jump distance for navigating the canopy, and the skin flaps that allow them to sorta glide when jumping. Schlegel's Tree Frog and the Forest Green Tree Frog looks almost identical to the Squirrel Tree Frogs we get in Florida.
@@amandajones6481 I think you might be mistaken. Cane toads were introduced to try to control specifically the Cane Beetle, which were destroying crops of cane. The problem was that the cane beetle larval stage dug underground and the adult beetles climbed on top of the cane, so the cane toads couldnt get them, which made them go after everything else and spread across australia.
The whites frog has the most interesting skin. It looks like it's wearing a shiny polyurethane diving outfit with oversized gloves. Cool looking critters.
I enjoy your videos so much! I havn't seen several of your species of frogs before. I'm in the USA, we had 2 very tiny natural ponds in our back yard. In the spring the "spring peepers" sing so loud and pretty. I love that sound so much! We also have "American toads" they can get very big. I had 6 koi in one of our ponds, but we think the big toads ate them. So I'm to worried to put more out there. We also have cute little frogs called "pickering" I think that's what they are called. They are all wild, but still fun to watch. Thanks for sharing your frogs with us!
Toads or bullfrogs were absolutely not responsible for the loss of your koi. I can assure you of that. I have outdoor fish (in GA) and I'd say it was a heron, a bird of prey (I've seen hawks do it), or raccoons, or a water snake. The best thing you can do is cover the pond with a net in the fall and winter months - which is when the predators are searching the hardest.

I have chickens guineas and turkeys that also use the pond in summer but is don't free range them in winter be Scaife e of the predators. I'm in TN so howdy neighbor! Will the cover bother the critters that use the water in the winter? Should I use a mesh that floats into the water? I should look in more depth into this.

Really enjoy your frogs and toads, I plan on setting up an enclosure in late spring. Here in Northern Kentucky we have tree frogs in the woods. Last year I did tadpoles for the first time. Loved seeing them turn into frogs, I let them go back to the woods. Thanks for sharing .
Is it safe to do that? I’ve heard if an animal is used to being captive and domesticated, they’ll die if they are released into the wild, because they don’t have the natural instincts anymore to be able to hunt and fend for themselves.

そうなんです、寿命が長いということはそれだけの年月しっかりお世話をする覚悟が必要ですよね😊
カエル達も歳をとってくると飲み込む力が無くなったりして介護が必要になりますので、今はまだ若いこの子達ですがそんな日が来る事もしっかり覚悟しておきたいです✨
たまに他の方の動画で無理に掴んで向きを変えたり、ボチャッと落としたりしてるのを見るとかわいそうになりますが、ぴよさんの動画は優しい空気が流れていて、安心して楽しんで見れます。お世話は大変だと思いますが、これからも楽しみにしてます❤️

I’ve got a couple Aquatic Albino African clawed frogs. They’re a lot of fun & very easy to feed & care for. I love when they sing to each other!

小さい頃は実家の庭でよくみどりちゃん(カエルちゃん)をあちこちで見かけたんですが、最近は緑が多いところでも鳴き声も聞かなくなったので、もっともっと以前のように野生のカエルちゃん達が共生できる日が来るといいなぁと思っています。

とても興味深く、楽しく見せていただきました。
我が家にもヤモリが生息しており、夏場に窓際などにいるとポトリと落ちてくるときがあり、捕まえて手のひらに載せて観察していると本当に可愛い生き物です。
以前玄関に虫よけをぶら下げたらヤモリを見なくなったので、最近はヤモリが来るように虫よけをつけなうなりました。
小動物の生活を乱さないようにして、ヤモリと一緒に生活できるように自然にしています。
毎回楽しみに観ておりますので飼育は大変と思いますが頑張ってください。
みんな本当に可愛いです。そして幸せそうです。ぴよさんのお世話が行き届いて快適に暮らしているのがよくわかります。❤❤❤❤❤

Miyako toads are my favorite followed very closely to the whites tree frog. The miyako toads seem to have a lot of personality.

@@sweetluvgurl I released them right after they climb out, also it was same land I got the tad poles. Should be safe.
