Saathi hai khoobsurat Yeh mousam ko bhi khabar hai.” Talat Mahmood was supposed to sing this song but was not available at that time so CR took the charge. The song is picturised on the Maharashtra’s beautiful locations of Khandala near the Duke’s Nose point. These fifties songs are the real treat to music lovers. Lovely post dear Cos.

@@crazyoldsongs yes dear Khandala is the nearest hill station to Bombay. We often used to go on long weekends to spend the quality of time in natural surroundings. This Duke’s Nose point for instance you can see in the song “Yehi Woh jagah hai, yehi Woh fizayen, yahin per kabhi aap humse mile the”.

A beloved old song again. The closeups of Meena Kumari's face as she does romantic frolics astride a horse are some of the loveliest images ever. A most cherished projection of traditional feminine beauty to me--- with a single braid adorned with a jasmine gajra and without the layers of gaudy make-up and revealing attires that are standard fare these days. The words "saathhi hai khubsoorat yeh mausam ko bhi khabar hai" couldn't be more fitting for these sequences. Thanks, COS.
