- Meet Major Veacock Officer Commanding Mountian Leader Company. (2020)
Each year Royal Marines deploy to Norway for their annual winter training exercise in the country, training to survive and fight in the sub-zero climate. But deep into the Norwegian mountains, you will find a different kind of marine, the Mountain Leaders.
Scaling a sheer face of ice can lead to a huge tactical advantage. These Mountain Leaders can take a company of men into the heart of combat over terrain the enemy might deem impossible to traverse.

The Mountain Leader Training Cadre is truly outstanding, the epitome of professionalism and they are SF as far as I am concerned. The BBC made a superb series, 'Behind The Lines,' in 1985 about what was then called, 'Mountain & Artic Warfare Cadre.' Superb, highly skilled, thinking man's soldiers. RESPECT to the Royals- first class blokes.
