Getting defeated in battle reminds me of the Nemesis system in Shadow of Mordor. Of course, it gives you a great deal of satisfaction when you do eventually defeat your nemesis Love the MK sound effects btw...:D
Well, it looks like Namira chose poorly. I like this adventure quite a bit so far, and I really like the mechanic of characters becoming a bigger deal when they beat you. Almost as if they also leveled up and got experience.

Yep, that is from the Shadow of Skyrim Nemesis mod, which was explicitly modeled after Shadow of Mordor, so your instincts are right on!

Yes! Adds a bit of meaning to each loss, but also alot of life to the world.
