It looks like they made Darth Vader too overpowered since he appeared to be continuously taking direct hits from giant axes and yet was somehow still alive. Of course, that was more sporting than simply using the Death Star to incinerate Middle Earth from orbit.

I mean they're not going to show Vader blocking every single shot, but he would either be doing that or using a force push to prevent getting hit.

you do know that they only missed in the films because 1) they were ordered to in ANH and 2) because the main characters had plot armour right?
I gotta be honest Im a bit disappointed Sauron's army didn't win. I'd say Vader may be the biggest contributor to SW winning this, for drawing so much attention that was going nowhere. When the Orcs were flanking the clones and the battle droids it started to turn, but those tanks in the front were just keeping a bunch of orcs in a holding pattern. If I were to advise the orc army I'd say completely ignore Vader, go around the tanks and focus all of your troops at attacking the clones (haha didn't mean to make the reference) and the battle droids. Once theyre wiped out, shift focus to the tanks. Have sauron keep Vader at bay with his ability and Sauron's army has this win, in my opinion.

So you're saying that Sauron and his army were defeated by a distraction fight and they were focused somewhere other than the more important area? Sounds to me like the Vader army won with superior strategy by exploiting a known weakness of its opponent...

I was wondering if Sauron would go down. Surprised Vader lasted that long, and didn’t use force push like I’ve seen him do against zombies.

Vader like all Jedi can move metal at will. He could make a huge lawnmower blade and just mow down the enemy army and be done in a few minutes all by himself. You underestimate the power of the Force.

Лучники били только по вейдеру например...ну кроме фланговых. Чтоб улучшить показатели битв, ставьте героев позади армий, ну и так логичнее.) The problem for Vader is that Orcs have been shown to be effective in melee combat. Stormtroopers can't hit anything close up or far away. Give him some ATAT and ATST and he's got a chance.

Yet in Return of the Jedi, the Imperial Army was thwarted by an even more primitive species, Ewoks.
Vader needs a long bath and a vacation after that. A long day at the office.
Interesting concept splicing two battles together like that. Could be some real future potential in this sort of content. Coyld nake for a more dynamic story and different events could unfold in ways where a singular battle just couldnt allow for. I say keep doing that until you perfect it and watch how nany try to immitate your success😊

But - and this is a big but - he would have cut Sauron to pieces on their very first encounter. No way Sauron could have been able to survive more than half a minute.

Vader would have force crushed Sauron in the first seconds of the battle. Vader= (seasoned World series champion) Sauron= (5 year old T-Ball day one) Not to mention Vader's army was severely Handicaped!!! Let's put it this was! Vader's Imperial army could have taken on ALL Middle Earth's armies and all sides 10 times over!!!
You have Replublic clone army and Separatist army being led by Post Episode 3 Darth Vader. Doesn't make fn sense. Now that Imperial Army , that would be better

All Vader would need is a couple of Star Destroyers with their turbolasers and squadrons of TIE Fighters, plus some AT-ATs and AT-STs on the ground.
Whoever controls the skies...WINS. Just ask the U.S. or Tom Clancy--in war, air dominance and weapons with a long reach are worth WAY more than troops on the ground. 1 Star Destroyer in orbit could wipe out Sauron's entire army...because they can't get to it. 😁😁😁
In this game: stormtroopers lay waste to hordes of armed warrior brutes.
In movies: stormtroopers can’t hit someone standing still at 10 feet away.

I don't know if I'd call Isildur a normal human, he is from the the Numenorian King blood line which I think is linked to Elornd's brother Elros both whom are half elves. All that aside it really was Narsil that cut the ring and it was definatly no normal sword. Sauron definatly excelled more in manipulation but was definalty a force to be reckend with on the battlefeild too.
I think we should remember the ewoks gave stormtroopers hell. Sauron and orcs would fair better than teddy bears right?
I definitely contest these results. There's no way that Vader would have been able to fend off so many Orcs and archers. Eventually the sheer numbers in tandem with continuous blows from Sauron's army would certainly have taken down Vader in not much time. The other disappointing feature here is that Sauron's army didn't have much coordination at all; I feel with direction and a plan, they could have succeeded (think of the strategy behind the invasion at Helm's Deep).
sure, some Orcs with swords and bows would´ve easily taken down science fiction technology weapons

Yeah. AI messed up. 250k orcs run into the guns and Sauron + 750k orcs use Vader as a coocky for their game of soggy biscuit...
The walkers could have started a strategic withdrawal while still laying down fire and just basically wiping out Sauron and his army as it charges at them

It would have been closer without Sauron and Vader. Possibly even a win for Mordor. Vader should have been oneshotted by that mace if he tanked it without the Force like that. But Sauron is the only immortal here, so he wins even through defeat. He just needs time to regroup.

In one of the books, Vader cruises in and wipes out an entire planets army on his own. I think he would've done even more than we saw here.
Honestly I figured the battle between Vader and Sauron would go to Sauron, but his whole army would have been sacrificed. If going by canon, this should have been the outcome on a ground match. Death Star is different story.
Sauron would win, hands down. He's an immortal, divinely-empowered being, who doesn't even need an army to wreak havoc (Vader may wield the Force, but assuming they existed in the same reality, Sauron IS the Force!). Besides, the only way to actually defeat his physical form, much less his spiritual one, is to cut the Ring off of his hand, and even if Vader did that, he would be immediately tempted to take the Ring for himself, and thus Sauron would STILL win in the end!

Vaders army was a little bit disorganised, in my opinion, the troopers & battlefield drones should of lined up in squares, much like the british army did many years ago, front line, second line, third line fire etc, etc, a continual barrage of fire, the square is never broken.
A few thousand blaster shots hitting sauron every second one is gonna get lucky and cut off his ring finger (well cumulatively they vaporize him anyhow...)
