- Today we are unboxing a surprise box for my parrot Angel. Planet Pleasures contacted me and asked if they could send my parrot some goodies. I made a huge wishlist and told them to surprise me. I LOVE this company and I didn't expect them to contact me for Angel to be a mini ambassador for the brand. I can't recommend them enough because their toys really helped Angel deal with his past anxieties and overcome his fear of playing with toys. Please make sure your parrot isn't bored and has a lot of stimulation for their well-being and mental health.

They say we don't choose our animals they choose us. As a Shiba Inu rescue dog mom I fully believe this. Jackie I love all you do for Angel and your cats. It's clear you love them and they love you just as much if not more. Angel has an amazing home because you care. Lots of love to all of you.

I love watching animals enjoy toys and life. My cats are all rescued, and had pretty miserable lives before rescue. They absolutely adore any toy given them.
My Uncles Parrot Percy, (both passed a while ago) was an old Merchant seaman's when my Uncle won him in a game of poker. He had spent all his life chained to a perch. Unsure of his age, my Uncle got him to ride on his shoulder, and his new life began. When he retired Percy Came home with him. He virtually had the run of the house, flying from room to room. I remember my uncle Joe sitting for hours making Percy toys. He used wood, paper, cardboard, string and cured Coconuts in the oven, by draining them, then drying them out over 24 hours in a low heat. He put peanuts etc inside things, and hung pineapple apples etc so he had a more natural way of feeding. The vet reckoned he was around 70 years of age when he passed. Living a full 10 years longer than Joe. My Aunt cared for him, and often I'd arrive to find Percy 'helping' in the kitchen, especially if she was making fruit cake. He loved raisins, nuts, and berries, and would sit and eat his pile at the end of the counter, I often found both of them covered in flour, as happy as pigs in mud!. :-) take care, stay safe 🇬🇧❤️🤗

One of my friends has not seen you so I stopped are Conversation and made her look you up and watch one of you videos because she was confused when I said I was a Grain of salt

That pineapple one is a great foraging toy. I hide sunflower seeds in my birds toy and it really helps with keeping a bird busy and interested.
Food for thought: No cage will ever be big enough for the life that is in it. A contained space is meant to a "safe home" and not a cage for one to feel trapped.

I'm so happy you rescued him. I can tell you really love him and he loves you. He actually has some of your sass. Hes a happy birb. Loved how he kept playing peek a boo.

We used to have a bird but he passed years ago. My sister's cat ran away several months ago. So we just have my sister's dog right now.
The bird we had was my other sisters. She was gonna do 4H, but then she didn't. Then when I moved into my apartment he lived with me for while. But then my cat got ahold of him(he was fine) but then he went to live with my grandma after that. He loved out his days with her. She just loved him. He would squake and squake when she got home from work until she came over and gave him attention. His name was sky cuz his colors were white and light blue. Grandma called him Big Sweetie, even though he wasn't so sweet. Lol He was a biter. #nerdEfacationsquad

I'm happy Angel found a forever home with someone who loves him! I hope who ever it was who hurt him are in jail so they can't hurt any other animal again!
I have my own birb, (cockatiel) he is in my room so he us alone for some of the day. (I have cats so its hard to take him out of my room. He is free to Rome around my room and he loves to mess with scraps of fabric that come out of when I make clothes. He does know to go in his cage at night and I don't have to lock it.

I own a Russian Tortoise so he doesn’t really have toys per say. He does have a lot of hides and stuff the climb on though!

This is the content I love to see. It's so wholesome and educational and genuine :)
My cat is a bit... special. We rescued him from my mum's work when he was about 5 weeks old, after he had hidden under a building all day (his mother and brothers had been rescued in the morning). One of the first toys we ever got him was this shiny green fish plushie on a string (with a rod handle). Occasionally he finds Fishy (or Fishy 2, exact same toy) around the house - "freed" from its string by our other cat - and he makes this noise he only makes for that one toy. It's a very cute noise. Now he's like 8 years old and has apparently started snoring, according to my mum.
The other cat's favourite toy has been a mix between one of those Kickapoo toys (stuffed rectangle with a fluffy tail that she holds and kangaroo kicks), and a broken zip tie.
My mom used to have parrots, but when she got sick we had to re-home them, now she's just too old/weak to take care of them. I still have those little C-clasps floating around my junk drawer.
Random thought, does Angel have a strong musk?
We always had smaller parrots, but a friend of ours had McCaws and, man, they had a STRONG musk. I actually found it kind of pleasant, almost lemony.

My cockatoos and I watch every video together! If they catch me watching your videos without them my medium sulphur crested screams my turn my turn! My goffin acts just like Angel most of the time! They are definitely neurotic clowns of the cockatoo world!we will be checking out some of the toys on here! I to recycle as much as l can and i love to put treats snd stuff in the empty mini candy boxes you get from Halloween or piñatas! The tootsie roll dot boxes and the mini nerds boxes are their very favorites! Thanks for sharing this with us? Thank s for sharing!

Jackie, can you make a sculpture with three different categories (example: pastel, evil, food) and have each of your pets pick a category? I know Angel can pick, but if you don't know how to get your cats to pick, try to put a treat or something in front of each paper, and the first one they pick is the paper behind it. I don't know if cats are treat-baited or not (I have a dog, and i do this method with him), but if not, use something they like, such as a toy.

I really like Angel, but oh my gosh, give me more kitties!!! I've had Tonkinese cats for 20 years now (originally a mix of Siamese and Burmese) and Splinter and Ramses remind me of them so much!! Love seeing them!! Need moar kittehs!!!

One time my bird decided he wanted a bath so what he done was jumped right into his water bowl (he does have a bath) and my bird got water everywhere and then he said "omg"- the way he said it was just like u (he learnt it from me watching you) by the way he is a budgie he is 2 years old he can speak and fly his name is hedwig,thank you for reading!

I bought one of those pineapple/dragonfruit looking toys for my dad's parrot, she was scared of it for about 2 hours and then demolished it within 20 minutes

My parrot is so picky and a scaredycat. He doesn't like toys, he doesn't like the color red, he doesn't like cutlery and mugs. Luckily we are a very lively household so he is basicly never bored.

this makes me feel so much better about my budgie. i thought i was the only one whos bird wouldn't play with anything. Im at my wits end with him. Hes a rescue which is why hes on his own, but hes terrified of everything and anything including all toys.

@@Spiritofthecimmarron mine isn't a rescue and even then he doesn't like toys. he likes to play (but on his own way) and mostly cuddle. Mine likes to sing and dance more then anything. No worries! As long as he is relaxed and happy. That's most important right'

This made me miss my cockatiel Ninja so much. My dad hand raised him when he was young, and I got to love him growing up. He could sing twinkle twinkle Little Star, all around the mulberry bush, and say pretty bird. He loved to rip up paper which we'd place on the bottom of the cage and he'd rip it up for hours. He passed away when I was about 13 at the age of 26

this was so funny im definitely buying more toys for my birbs! actually, my birds have also been through the same thing that angel went through sadly, but now they are loved, im pretty sure their 1 yrs old now! and their siblings!!! their absolutely terrified of noise, tots, anything colorful..but they are slowly getting better! i am not forcing them , their taking their time

Sometimes bringing these birds back from drama is absolutely heartbreaking. I love birds... I could only hope to own one of my own. Hey Jackie! I found this great bird toy maker called seed street. You can find their page on Facebook. She hand makes things and can do special orders. Honestly her things are way more affordable and you get more for the amount you spend verses other toy companies. The basket i had made for my two birds has been their favorite thing I've ever given them. My cockatiel is not a toy type (i still offer him things of course) but he loves to chew and shred this toy
