Since I wasn’t expecting this video to be as long as it was, please take your time watching this video guys, no rush! 😭 Also, I did go through certain pages pretty quick, but I made sure to give enough time for you guys to pause the video if you want to read/look at the pages longer! Lastly, sorry for some shakiness/out of focus stuff in some clips, this video was very difficult to edit and I’m a little lazy sometimes 😅
Finally got around to watching this. I was heartened by your Instagram post telling us to "take our" time with this deluxe sized video, I don't think I've seen any other UA-camrs explicitly give their audience permission to watch something at the pace that suits them like this. I found the time eventually though, and I'm glad for it - it might be one I come back to rewatch in future though just to take it all in. So much interesting stuff on every page! Historically, the fact the magazine had pages seemingly trying to scare kids off drugs (also got a laugh out of "OH, there's the drugs!" XD) as was the conservative line in the 80s, but also a section trying to educate them about birth control which conservatives wouldn't have liked, was amazing to me, as was seeing a tobacco company place an ad telling kids not to smoke (pretty weakly though really since it can't even admit why smoking is harmful since they still want to sell them lol). More lightly for me though, loved the fact this was a time capsule right out of the prime of pastel 80s fashion (plus, of course, "Denim, Denim... DENIM") and that these magazines were full of that. Adored all the news about upcoming movies that are beloved now like The Breakfast Club. Super interesting to see which musicians they were pushing, oh and I thought your reenactment of the anti-peer pressure bit was hilarious (would've loved to have seen one of that chemistry class romance story lol. How much would a writer had gotten paid for that material?). Thanks for putting all this on UA-cam!
Of course, I'm glad to hear you appreciated my message of taking your time to watch this video!😁 I know a lot of people who don't have free time on their hands to watch a youtube video in one sitting, especially 30 mins long. Totally agree, there's so much in there and it warranted a long video like this 😃 Glad to see you enjoyed it, thank you for commenting, it means a ton! 😊
Great video! I actually was impressed with the information they gave on the different types of drugs and what they do. I also thought the articles on physical health were super informational as well. Makes me love the 80s even more! 💙💜
Loved this! So many of my brothers' girlfriends had hair like a few of the models shown. Also, I know that those .1$ a tape ads were everywhere, but I'd love to know the teen girl ordering Barry Manilow or Dan Fogelberg.
Thank you and I'm so happy you enjoyed it!😁 And your bros gf's had great style, hahaha!! Yes, very interesting that they were so cheap and had such a wide selection!
In the February 1985 "'Teen", the cover was the vivacious sexy Traci Dianne Freeman, 52 today. Attended my high 🏫, Jersey Village High, and saw her in my junior year, 1987-88. Boy, she was a knockout!
I'll be glad to tell ya! But, which one are you referring to? The very beginning music as soon as the video starts, or the soundtrack in the background when I start talking? 🤗
Wow you really looks like a time travel person who comes from the 80s to nowadays , what is your secret ? I mean where did you get a Time Machine for going since the 80s to the future ? 😅
@@turnbacktothe80s your hair reminds me my mother back in the 80s , she used to make perms , curly hair and teasing hair like this , by the way you can time travel sometimes in dreams , I had an experience , one night I had a dream that I was in a big school and then I saw my mother ! entering in the same room where I was, but she was talking with another person , I was calling her but she didn't pay attention to me or even didn't see me , (like if I were a ghost or invisible for her) I saw my mother very young , thin , with perm curly hair (very 80s) with a white blouse with shoulder pads and square big collar with lace around , and she also was wearing a long denim skirt , she was carrying books or notebooks (im not sure ) and then I saw her from the back walking to another room , I felt it was the year 1986 , also in the dream I was wearing blue jeans and leather jacket and 80s long hair (something like brad Pitt early looks from the 80s ) it was really an odd experience , I told this to my mother and I was surprised to hear that every detail I told her was real , I mean she had that same blouse and skirt and that place was the school where she was working , my mother also told me that she had the same experience like me , but in this case she saw my grandparents very young in the 1950s and also my great-grandparents very young , my mother saw my granny carrying my aunt as a baby (the eldest sister of my mother ) , my mother love that kind of experiences to share with me and my siblings (clarifying that my mother was born in the 1960s )
Wow!! I always order from them on Depop!! I ordered like 20 from them so far but I think they are moving so they took down most of their stuff for a while
Nice!😁 I did notice you bought from them before, that's freaking fantastic because their shop had great stuff for a great deal!😄 Thanks for the info about their shop, I was curious because they were inactive, hope their shop comes back in another form because they were awesome!

The rainbow in the background is classic late 70s thru mid-80s!!
Classic 80’s
You're underrated 💗
Oh my gosh, bless your heart! 😭✨
0:07 That song's called "Bazar" and it's from a mexican band from the 80s called "Flans"
Yes, it is! They're my favorite band.
"Upcoming feature The Breakfast Club" little did they know the impact that movie would make.
Right? It's so fun to see things like that and realize what a classic it would turn into with time!
That dramatic reading reminded me of those videos about peer pressure that we were forced to watch in elementary school 😂
Oh totally! I tried to make it cheesy as those usually are 😂
At least in that period there wasn't Internet XD
Even if you act that way the teased you more LOL XD XD XD XD
Wow that hair style is 10/10 perfection
Thank you!😁✨
G'day from Down Under, Fascinating video. 80s magazines bring back tons of great memories. Keep up the good work! Stay Gold, Australia’s Retro Man.

Incroyable !

Me too, very informative and detailed! The 80s had their good side when it came to physical health, luckily we were able to see it here!😀

Hello! You're the best, thanks for your continued support!😃

Did you know that in a movie where Olivia D'Abo starred (Flying) there was a young Keanu Reeves too?
I did not know! That's such a cool fact! 👀🙌🏻✨
@@turnbacktothe80s I wonder if she has a crush on him! XD
Reeves is from Lebanon. I remember that he played Theodore Logan in "Bill & Ted" films.
i love it!!!
Thank you so much for watching! ✨
Jazzy, what’s the song in the beginning of this video before your intro?
Its the Jem and the Holograms theme song! ua-cam.com/video/lkQE5wuBFeY/v-deo.html
Can you do a room tour???
Of course!😄 I plan to work on it as soon as I post part 2 of the Teen Magazine flip-thru soon!
Yay esprit!!!
Yes! Love that brand!🙌🏻
What's the music soundtrack uses from beginning and end
I'll be glad to tell ya! But, which one are you referring to? The very beginning music as soon as the video starts, or the soundtrack in the background when I start talking? 🤗
In the first flip throughs of the magazine
At 1:40 I want to know what the name of the soundtrack music is
Wow you really looks like a time travel person who comes from the 80s to nowadays , what is your secret ? I mean where did you get a Time Machine for going since the 80s to the future ? 😅
Thats all a secret! But, I will say this, it's all in the hair! 😂

What is the depop shop
It was called squatchs_basment. Right now, their shop is closed on depop, so they're not selling at the moment
Can you sell those on eBay at a price at 7'00 or 8'00
I would never sell my copies 😂 But, if you're selling your own copies I would set the price at more than $15 with shipping 🙌🏻
Wow!! I always order from them on Depop!! I ordered like 20 from them so far but I think they are moving so they took down most of their stuff for a while
Also when you showed the shop at the beginning you can see my Depop username ahhaha!!! It’s the rust one that says “bundle for JewelryByJordan “
Nice!😁 I did notice you bought from them before, that's freaking fantastic because their shop had great stuff for a great deal!😄 Thanks for the info about their shop, I was curious because they were inactive, hope their shop comes back in another form because they were awesome!
