Hi. I like your videos because you have your own style and a certain sophistication. I have a Safari with an EF nib that writes just as thick as your Safari. In contrast, I have a Safari F that writes a very fine line. Since they write very well, I haven't worried too much either. I don't understand why the Safari section gets so much criticism. I find it very comfortable. If it were round, you'd have to put your fingers in the same place as the facets. Otherwise, the pen would be rotated, uncomfortable, and you'd write poorly.
Hello😄I heard that the thickness of the nib of the Lamy Safari is really a random pick. This time, my AL Star EF nib is thin and very nice. Meanwhile, thank you for your thoughts on Safari’s triangular grip. I also like the Pelikan flat top style pen. I've never used it, but I think I might also like Montblanc's cigar-shaped pen😂
@@RomantistR Yes, there is tolerance in Lamy sizes. They acknowledge it themselves, you can check Lamy guide, ± 0.06 mm from EF to M, and ± 0.075 in the B. Something similar happens with Kaweco. I received this week a M nib that looks like an F/M. But it writes very well. I have written with a Montblanc 146 and it is comfortable. The 149 can be exaggeratedly wide and consequently uncomfortable. It depends partly on the size of your hands. I have the Pelkan Twist. The design is somewhat radical. I usually need two or three minutes to settle into the section, but I end up finding a comfortable position. Higher, lower, until I feel comfortable.
Oh man I really want a Lamy pen! Looks so great!!
