I'm 16 and my first truck is a 92 k1500 and got it as a project/to learn from it but mines an old shitbox still got original everything got rust on the body love the truck and hopefully will fix everything on it but yea wanted to share for idk why
Hi I'm doing a 94 short bed k1500 ls swap and was wondering if you could do a video on how you have your shifter linkage done...thanks and also that a really nice truck you built.
What’s your social medias if U have any that u post truck progress on ? how’s the engine been keeping up? very much love this build can’t wait for new content!
CollinZ71 delete the cats, go with a manga flow muffler ( packed of course), and a dynamax billet resonator. My Yukon has it and it doesn’t wrap at all
Jason C hope. You have to change the ECM and Electronic Spark Control I believe if you’re going from 305 to 350. I rebuilt the tbi unit and threw a TBI spacer on. I think the intake was around $350 on summit
I have a truck like this, was going to rebuild or get crate 190hp tbi and that intake but for about the same money I went with a hi mileage 300 horsepower 6.0 and 4l80e cant wait till I can afford paint and doubling the horsepower at some point, every time I watch one of these videos I'm like cool! cuz I've got one too 🤘
Nice job! What did you do to the lower fan shroud? Did you trim it or move it lower? Also did you get a longer lower radiator hose to make room for the shroud and fan ? Thanks in advance. I’m trying to get my shroud and fan situated after a 3 inch body lift. Great videos by the way, keep it up.
They have little drop brackets. If I remember right the lower fan shroud is cradled in the core support and bolts in the bottom. They’re little pieces of steel or aluminum. Measure out to probably 1” wide 3.5” long and maybe 1/8” thick. You can make these little brackets easily if you don’t have them. Drill two holes in them that are 3” apart bolt them in the factory location and bolt the fan shroud to the bottom hole that’s 3” lower. Then to mount the upper shroud they’re just bolts with 3” spacer sleeves. If you look close in a couple videos there will be a 3” gap between the upper and lower shroud. As far as I know it’s the factory lower hose. I didn’t install the lift on this truck but I’ve installed a few body lifts. There should be just enough clearance for the shroud to clear the hose.
Dude, we are both named Collin, we both have early 90’s chevy trucks, I'm working on restoring mine, you sound like me, iv thought about being a diesel mechanic, we should definitely message each other and maybe have a few beers some time, I think we could be good friends, HMU.
