Man, you are one heck of a storyteller! I really enjoyed this video. I’m a history nerd 🤓 so I definitely loved the antiques and storytelling! Your Pops is precious! So happy to see him on your videos! My family lives 14 hours away, so I only get to see them once every couple years.
I appreciate you relaying that input. It’s good to know that some folks like the history segments. Be sure and check out The Farmstead Market. Same time period history.
My parents and I used to pass by High Grove all the time going to my grandparents house. Stopped in a few times for bottles of Coca-Cola (real stuff then) and some bags of salted peanuts. Takes me down memory lane. I'm going to have to get back out there and definitely try that grub. Thanks so much for this video. Absolutely great.

Very interesting video, Barry. I love to hear the history of a location, as well as that awesome food! Think I saw Burgoo on that menu board! Love Burgoo! The antiques shop is so cool looking, I saw the Charles Chips cans and remember the deliveries to our house. I read somewhere they are still in business today, just not around here. Also, would just love to look through those books!
Like me you seem to have an interest in history. Were you by chance a history major in college? Great video by the way! I appreciate the longer ones sometimes.
My degree is in Secondary Education. It should have been history though. I’m going to try and find more places in the future that have history to tell about. Thank you. That was by far my longest video at 26:30.
Barry my friend, place & food looks great, you eat your meal just like me, but I would order 2-3 extra eggs as I like a lot of runny yolk on my biscuits & gravy, home fries look good & 1 of the few items I put ketchup on, some real buttered toast on the side also. You used my fave hot sauce, McIlhenney's tobasco hot sauce as i know the logo & I believe this place is in Nelson County near Bardstown, I'll never get my wife out of the antique shop , especially without buying something or spending money, lol, btw, nice of you to take your Pa out to eat, my Ma & Pa are in a nursing home in their mid 80's, but we eat there on occasion during our visits, their health won't allow them to go out anywhere, that's OK though
That’s the only way I can enjoy my B&G now. Yes, it is in Nelson County five mikes north of Bardstown. I’m sorry to hear about Ma and Pa. I’m sure they could have any of our faves, even if they could get out.
@@goodallscountrykitchen Barry my friend, thank you for your kind words, I'm sure Ma & Pa would enjoy the faves & I & my 2 sisters do take them meals sometimes, home cooked & some from restaurants, God Bless you & yours pal
i’m glad you liked it! there food is delicious especially when my mom cooks it for me since she works there!!
Oh, I’ll bet makes it special!
They moved the highway, isn't that the story for Cars the movie? You all Goodall are great people for getting us all excited to take a left somewhere.
@@johnsanders3838 you’re welcome!
Love ❤️ the way you mix it hahaha 😆 you know how to do it right ✅️ awesome 👌
That’s the only way!
Grew up there a few years just right across the street. My favorite childhood. Antique store was our Skating Rink. Best time ever!! Miss it!
I’ll bet that skating rink was a big hangout for kids all over those parts. I could feel the fun vibes in there.

Thank you so much! I’m glad I could take you back down memory lane. They don’t have many places like that around anymore.
The owners are great people, lovely store, and the family food is impeccable-nonpareil.
Great video !

So happy you reviewed this, I’m from Philly and they make some of my favorite Philly cheesesteaks in Louisville area.

One of our favorite places. Good folks!
Yes, the ladies were awesome!
Those pancakes looked so good I had to make me one for dinner with a few breakfast sausages!

Yes, it was a very cool antique shop. Way better stuff than the average store.
Thanks for your continued support!
@M B yeah, it was a stroll down memory lane. I saw lots of stuff I haven’t seen since my childhood.
Done been there and liked it.
Thanks for watching!
I've only been to Cox's Creek once. I took a co-worker home from work.
@@michaelsadventures4261 that was nice f you.
I don't normally like videos of people reviewing food that smack their mouths so much but your stuff is good enough that i can deal with it!!
Thank you for sticking with me!
Where the hell do you put all that food coach😂 great reviews as always Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family
Thank you, and Happy Thanksgiving to you and your’s. I’ll show you some real eating next week on my Thanksgiving video.

He must have read the road plaque about the history on the top roadside hill.
I didn’t see that sign. So was my history segment must have been? correct
I’d like to add that they have a pretty good sausage biscuit for breakfast, you can’t eat just one.
I wanted one but already had too much.
You in my neck of the woods 🪵 😏
You live out that way?
Gorgeous girls!
Thank you!
Don't even front
You know I won’t.
Ruined by putting ketchup on it.
Try it.
Always eating other peoples food. But you never offer up any of yours. Why is that?
Uh…..maybe cause I’m fat and want to make sure I get enough?
