This was made 9 yrs ago, but I found it today! You did a great job showing & briefly explaining each step of this Blueberry Syrup canning process. Hope your life has been blessed! Thank you! (Kentucky).

I was gifted 96 lbs of fresh blueberries, so after making too much blueberry pie filling, I tried your recipe today for the syrup and it’s delicious! Your video made it easy. Thank you!
WOW...thats a lot of blueberries! Thanks for watching and trying this recipe out, glad you liked it....its great on ice cream too! Wishing you a blessed day!
+Nancy Rodriguez Hi Nancy, thank you so much I love my kitchen so much!! Oh yes this recipe is s simple and its soooooo good too. Nothing like home made! Thanks for watching, enjoy your day!
I have never made Blue Berry Syrup before, the first batch I made I followed Cheryl's recipe, The taste is amazing. My next batch of blueberry syrup I made it from the recipe in the Blue Ball Canning Book, it added water to the recipe and when I cooked it it was very watery and disappointing, The recipe Cheryl has here is the best I have ever eaten. It's thick (not to thick) and rich. Yummy is all I can say!
THANK YOU BETTY!!! Thanks for watching and trying my recipe. I am so "HAPPY" that you enjoyed my blue berry syrup recipe. I am over whelmed with your wonderful comment! :) Thank you for giving it a try and comparing it to the Ball canning book recipe! Your right!!..... this blue berry syrup is YUMMY!! Your the best!
My grandma loved berries so did my great grandma if she wasnt putting berries with milk and sugar for a treat she was canning then in jelly....i like the frozen berries and sugar boiled for my waffles....I tried her sugar and milk with cantalope and honey dew also good like berry milk
She is also the crazy one who said the longer you cook soup the better it ahh tatses she was a terrible cook according to my mother but she made good soup too
Just finish a batch, but I have two questions about the blueberry juice. First, when you put the heated juice in the cheesecloth how long does it take for you juice to strain? (For example, most jelly recipes suggest straining it overnight, but in the videos it looks like it took you a couple minutes.) Second, when you're done straining, about how much liquid do you have left after the pulp is removed? (I probably ended up with not much more than 3cups at most. Does this seem correct?) BTW, when I was completely done I finished with a smudge more than 6 half-pints.
It didn't take long, next time I will time it. I do edit the videos other wise it would be like dead space...too long. I didn't strain it over night. You see in the video how many jars I filled. Thats what I had left. I hope this helped you. Thanks again for trying this recipe out and for watching! Enjoy your day! :)
Sure I dont see why not....Good luck and enjoy!! I love Blackberries too....( it would be best to strain the seeds if you can...other wise the blackberry jelly will have some seeds in it .....if you dont mind) either way is fine!
You might be able to use frozen I don't see why not....I have always used fresh. If you do use Frozen let me knowhow it turned out for you. Thanks for watching and giving this recipe a try. Enjoy our day!
Hi Cheryl, I tried the recipe with frozen berries. While it tasted good, it didn't produce a lot of juice (only about 2 cups). Perhaps I should have thawed them thoroughly first. I reduced the sugar and made 1 1/2 pints. Maybe I'll try again with some adjustments. Thanks.
Maybe it would be better instead of jelly use it as syrup? I'm glad it tasted good and you liked it....if you do use frozen again and make adjustments let me know how that turned out....Thanks so much for trying this recipe out
I did use frozen I rinsed them first when you get them out of the freezer then let them sit til not frozen when thawed blend! Love this recipe! Especially over blueberry donut!
***** Thanks for watching, I don't see why not .... the only thing is the seeds from the blackberries you may want to use a strainer to capture some of the seeds (its a preference, if you don't mind the seeds then skip this) Let me know how it turns out for you, thanks for trying this recipe out. Have a good day!

YES it was, Sorry you got confused. Try this recipe out... its really good and yummy! Thanks for watching and enjoy your day!
Was the fifth and sixth cup of sugar edited out of the video or something? Because you went from four to seven, it kind of confused me.
Do you have to use that much sugar?
Yes....I hope this helps you.....Its so good!
Do you think I could follow this recipe to make a Blackberries syrup?
