Indeed. The only variety on their lists that I know is grown here in Europe is Bintje. No mention even of the ubiquitous King Edward. Ultimate list, my foot. But the growing time was helpful. If I'm interpretting that correctly, it should mean that earlies are determinate while maincrop are indeterminate. Maybe.
I bought some organic potatoes from my store and cannot find out of they're indeterminate or not? They're Honey Gold by Tasteful Selections. Anyone know?
@Deborah, Did you know you can adjust the video playback speed in the upper right corner of the video? Just click on the three vertical dots which will show you various options, then select “playback speed” then select the specific speed that works best for you 👍
@@rrbb36 what? I had no clue! Wow, thank you for that information, that’s great to know! I just kept pausing the video and making notes. I also let my 14 year old granddaughter do all of my technical stuff lol but I think I can handle that one! Thanks again!
It seems that the ‘Ultimate list’ would include all potatoes and tell more about growing zones, maybe even categories of the best ways to cook them. It was a good video but could’ve been much more informative and complete.
What's the difference between determinate and indeterminate? Determinate potatoes are considered fast-growing and produce tubers at the soil depth just above where the seed was planted. Indeterminate potatoes are classified as slow-growing and produce tubers all along the stem where soil exists.
determinate and indeterminate, I think these are nonsense concepts for hobbyists. I've only been working in potatoes for 50 years and it means nothing to me.
List actually starts at 4:20.
And almost useless if you are not in the US.
it would help if you headed your lists ith the type or we may find it hard to see which list is determinate and which indeterminate
Best video explaining the differences!
i live in nz and reconized 1 variety of pototoe. Desiree
Could you turn the music up a little. It didn't quite drown out your voice.
The varieties named are not of much relevance if you live outside the USA.

Great and informative video, a tad bit fast for those of us who were taking notes but workable. Thank you, I just subbed!

While watching via TV and UA-cam no I can't adjust the speed
There are over 5000 different types of potatoes.

Get to the point. Where is the list?
Useless unless you live in America

Shut the music off can't hear
“Ultimate” I don’t see Allison potatoes
Great video but a little fast.
Useless list and misleading title unless you are in the USA.
