There should be home screens for different games, maybe if you buy a game you get a home screen bundled with it? It’s be so cool to be in a star wars fighter cockpit or battle scene or something

Like the person above me mentioned, I think it would be great if it were kind of like the PS Store. I am quite certain they will make this as it means they can capitalise on it. They could also sell menu themes and the like. It would be awesome if it was an open solution though, where you could download other users custom packs similarly to worlds and characters in VRchat.

Edit: Well I got it early, and I tried to set it up, and it connected fine, but while trying to set up the guardian border, but every time I tried to touch/move the controllers, they would glitch rapidly all over the place, the buttons work, but it does that every time they move, I’ve tried to factory reset, I’ve tried to change the hertz, I’ve changed the batteries, none of it has worked, any help?

I don’t have environments.. I’m like the only person who doesn’t have it for some reason, is it only for the 64gb version? Because I have the update but don’t see envirements

Missed you!!! I love these videos. The different game home screen is a good idea every game could make one that would be awesome ! I struggled to find some.of these features haha it's embarrassing. I said the same thing about the fire!! Great minds rinse alike ;)

I wasn't expecting Link yet, but damn I though at least the double-tap passthrough would be here.
Would love to see oculus open up the environments to developers, imagine your home being the millennium falcon or the starship enterprise bridge.

The environments will roll out progressively, as stated in their website clearly under the 11 update release notes :) so don't panic about that just yet.
If you go and edit your avatar you're teleport into yet another environment, which is rather surreal.
2:21 my quest doesn’t show that.
In order to use the Link function, you need to have a USB C 3.0 (!) cable (not Quest's cable) and it only supports some NVidia graphic cards, and no AMD cards for now. That will progressively change.
I'm honestly so ready for more customization in the dome, even though I spend there just a couple minutes each vr session. Maybe even achievement trophies section from different games.
I’ve had the quest for a few months now and it is great but I would like to point out that there can be some tracking issues known as blackouts which can be annoying at times yet it is the best headset I’ve ever tried

I don't even have the environments as an option, much less the experimental features, I JUST updated too

@@belg4r489 I checked multiple times, it said no updates available and that it is indeed update 11 that's installed, yet the ONLY feature I have is that the menu screen is smaller, that's it

They are rolling that out slowly; you should see it within a week or two at most.

I know what you mean. good news. I found out how to get it to change. all you have to do is click home,then settings. then all settings. and on the left side it will say environments. click it. and you will see the new one. and click it ,and it will download. 10 mins ago. I just found out. I just had to let someone know. please tell be if it worked.

I think the quest is great of course its at its infancy stage but i dont even own one i just been watching videos. One thing they need to do is 1. Have more of a free roam start up and worry about fixing the graphics and i can tell that would give people a huge headache looking at it for at least 20 minutes. This is just what i see from the start
Oculus link to showed up today, you have to download Oculus software on PC. You then also have to run the public beta in PC settings.

So guys, I am thinking about purchasing VR. I don't want to spend >900$ for VR headset, so I stopped on Oculus. But what should I take? Oculus Rift or Quest? I think Quest is the best, because this month an oculus link comes out. And after this patch Oculus Quest = Oculus Rift. But I am not sure it will work this way. So thats the question: what should I buy and why?

The updates roll out over time. Like every Quest update. But this time, according to Oculus, it'll take a few weeks (for some).

Someone search through the files and locate where the environments are stored. That way, we could potentially make our own environments.
Force Delete NEEDS to be a feature, I got the headset the day it came out and can't update nor delete beatsaber

Don't feel bad!! I didn't get any of those features in my update. The only thing that's different is my display in the home is smaller.
Odd, yeah they say that each separate feature is a separate rollout to each headset. Oculus firmware updates prove weirder and weirder every time.
I was more looking for the kinda "Home" environment that's on the Rift I have, where I can setup my room, move about etc.. is that coming?

I really like the casting now. It used to be terrible, but now it's just fine. Very minimal delay on my TV. And it casts to any Smart TV with Chromecast built in, or any Chromecast device.

Is it me or is oculas in general quite pixelated as i have nevrr had a oculas so did not know what to expect so is it me or is it normally a little pixelated?

It just me or oculus just block livestream for beat saber and all sideloaded apps..!?
I updated it but the only thing that changed was I got a smaller menu ;-; also the only experiment I have is Bluetooth gamepad.

It's supposedly a slow roll out to only a select few people first and then more as time goes on. Just keep checking your headset and hopefully it shows up. Thanks for stopping by the channel!
Why the Oculus doesn't offer a "customization" option for home screen is beyond me. It's been well known tech consumers ALWAYS want to personalize their environments. Hell, the birth of the smartphone BEGAN with the ability to add a back-screen images to your pixelated phone screen in black dots. Now on the eve of 2020 VR we can't even customize? Truly odd, indeed. If they'd pay attention to allowing users to curate a unique "virtual home screen", they'd be able to retain more users given the comfort of it vs the millions who buy it then sort of fall off out of boredom. Personalized (home environments) is the key to getting humans to "want" to use VR for all things from texting, to phone calls to multiple functions vs only game related entertainment. Get on it, Oculus. Time is ticking.

Hi I’ve just updated to 11 and there are no Environment options and now unknown sources has disappeared from the menu so I cannot play my sidequest titles including Half Life VR and so on. Any info would be much appreciated :) Mike

With the oculus link, will you need a rift as well as a quest or do you only need the vr games on steam? Also, will it use storage space on your pc or will it go on your quest?

I've just been having my controllers floating away while spinning repeatedly when i turned it on. it says i need new batteries but these ones are 2/3 charged. could be a bug but probably just a case of swapping batteries

Make sure to completely power down the headset (hold the power button for 10 seconds) and then wait a bit then turn it back on. And thanks for stopping by the channel! I appreciate the support :)

You'd need a 360 camera for that. The quest cameras aren't really meant for photos.

Most games do have left-handed options! My best friend is left-handed and he has no trouble at all.
i have a psvr and wanna get more into vr and i dont have a pc is this a good thing to buy because iv noticed alot of issues with the psvr
The next step up from PSVR is a rift/vive/index really. Quest is great, but it's perhaps a downgrade to PSVR. Bear in mind, the processor is as powerful as a mobile phone from a while back. Your PS4's processor is better. (both trash, tho)
More into VR is either play VR more, or you'll need to dump a load of cash in my opinion.

For some reason, when I look for environments in the settings, it never appears. Though the oculus app says that my quest just updated to 1.11, it still feels like I'm trapped in version 1.10. If anybody know how to fix this problem, please let me know.
