For story 1, he is the a-hole. I mean, she hand-baked him sweets despite her making minimum wage for him. And also, he is complaining about not getting him a gift when he got her a ring that was to big and snapped in half and a 3D printed slug? Ungrateful.
Also, she baked him stuff. I personally think that making something yourself has more meaning and sentimental value than just buying something (but buying gifts are also great) but he also knew her situation and didn't care. He was just a spoiled brat

The first story especially pissed me off because I am the baker of the family and I didn’t know what to get my boyfriend for his birthday so I made him cookies which he really enjoyed and if he ever said that me baking him stuff wasn’t good enough then I would be so mad thing as most of my cookies recipes are original and my own
for the 1st one if i were in that person's pov I would be thanking that lady for years for deciding to make some sweets.
