This is lovely! Very labor-intensive, but even my limited sewing skills could manage this. This would have to be a gift for someone I care about a LOT! Thank you for sharing!
What a cute bag/basket. So much work and love went into making this. I too hope that the person who gets this bag will appreciate the time, work and love that this bags holds. Thank you for sharing your lovely craft!
OMGOsh this the most darling thing since sliced bread! And it looks pretty basic....wait till my sister who taught me to sew in our family of 9 we had too! Wait till she recieves one of these beaties! Young lady you have made my day!!!! Thank you so pictures and comments to follow as I now follow you fellow creative person!😜
I love this idea. I have some left over fabric from Christmas projects and I will use that the lining for my Christmas basket I fill with fruit each year. Thanks for the great idea.
Beautiful, and, in a way, reminds me of kumihimu but on a flat surface. I might give it a try, your demonstration is just wonderful and clear. A lovely way to use up pretty pieces of fabric.
POSITIVELY ADORABLE! The idea of a plastic liner inside would be great for using with plants or just a basket to give support structure. I am always up for new ways to use those scraps. I think this would be great to make it fit quart canning jars to pretty up your cabinets, bathroom or sewing room. I want to make one for my water bottle with a long strap. This idea would be great to cover many ugly things so they will be PRETTY! THANK YOU SEW MUCH FOR YOUR SHARE😊
This is a fantastic idea. I’ve been trying to find ways to use the mountain of left over fabric pieces. This is perfect. I would love to try and make it larger, like handbag or shopping bag size.
Decades ago I made a similar basket using colorful magazine pages backed with glue and very lightweight fabric (gauze or similar). I still have it because I love how it turned out. I never thought to use fabric this way. Seems it will be more useful and durable. I definitely have plenty of fabric for this, including old jeans of mine and my husband's. Thanks for sharing! Just 1 question, how wide and how long are the fabric strips before sewing them?

Your level of patience is to be admired. Very creative. Thank you.
I have done several kinds of weavings in the past, but I have never seen anything like yours! This is so unique! Great! Thanks!
Thanks 😍😍😍.
Nifty project! I especially liked how you used the circles for the weaving up the sides.
Thanks.
What a neat idea. Love how you used the clips to hold everything in place as you wove it. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks ❤️❤️❤️.
Какой кропотливый труд ! У меня точно не хватит терпения . Браво мастерице🐝🐜🌷⚘🌹🌺 !

Muito linda
love this ...got plenty of time and scraps
going to have my young granddaughters help❤ thx
Thanks ❤❤.
Gorgeous bag. Thank you for the HOW-TO video.
Actually I’ve just had a brilliant idea. I would join all the little bits you cut off and make the bias out of those. Ugh can’t wait to make it.
Thank you very much.
I would do that also.
Same here
Wow ! A great way to use the small scraps ! Thank you
I would have used another 2-3 strips/circles to weave higher sides. Then there would be hardly anything to cut off.
Thank you! My daughter-in-law would love this. If I include a plastic liner, could be used with a pretty house plant.
That’s a super great idea for this beautiful project.
This idea is so good. I will just add some fabric for lid and zip. Boom! My cosmetics bag for travel! Can't wait to make it. Thx for this vid!

2 inches wide and 20 inches long.

Thanks ❤❤❤❤.
THAT WAS SO COOL TO WATCH!
Absolutely brilliant. Love it. tfs.
THanks 😻😻😻.
Very cute. A good way to use up 2-1/2" strips!
Thank you very much.
These are 2" x 20" so if you don't trim your 2 1/2" your ratio will be off. You would need 25" strips and your basket will be bigger.
Lovely bag. Thank you.
Beautiful!❤
Thank you for the idea... It can be made in double contrasting colors also👌💕
Thanks you very much.
