thanks for posting this. i couldn't stay up late enough to watch them live. nashville has been recognized as having the best fireworks show for several years now
Nashville is #1 in my opinion, not NYC. Thank you for this video. And viewers need to know this is not the whole show. Nashville delivered over 30 minutes!
We were number 4. last year. Number 2 2014 year. I was less than 30 yards from the stadium. Other than the 1000s of people walking through thinking they would be able to get a better spot than the other 100 thousand people the show was great and very good patrol of all the emergency/EMT/and police teams. I enjoyed it. Great show and crowd. We had some drunk guys beside us and every time a firework would go off they would yell "boom motherfucker" at the top of there lungs and yea they may be vulgar but in Nashville party area it just added to my experience and made it allot more fun then sitting in silence. Good job Nashville and thank you Titan Stadium.
The guy was operating right by me and I saw him land to replace the battery earlier on. He was using a DJI phantom 2 vision plus. I asked him if he was going to post to UA-cam.
Nice video. Here is the a more traditional video I took from the riverfront of the awesome finale. Choose 1080 for a super clear image. Nashville Fireworks 2014
Funny. A 12,000 pound Apache Helicopter could hover over the group and everyone would take pictures and wave at it. No danger there, right? But a 4 pound plastic model has got half of these people running for cover.
Are you trying to tell me that a military spec aircraft is more likely to have a mechanical failure and fall from the sky? It's a plastic toy made in China maintained by some dude with no qualifications, I doubt he even read the entire manual.
rcocker No, it is less likely to fail. But, I would much rather be under a 4 pound toy fail than a 12,000 pound helicopter fail. The relative size of the catastrophe out weighs the lesser odds to me. And, I don't know if the pilot read the entire manual. But I do know it was a picture (literally) perfect flight with no incident.
@kevin unknown. Id love to go back, but my level of expertise in my field is rare around here, hence why I can make much more money here. My move was strategic but it does not mean I have to enjoy the social atmosphere here. Werent you busy eating fried chicken?
Thanks for your help! Here's the link to my article about the video and Hytch! www.tennessean.com/story/news/local/2014/07/05/nashville-fireworks-drone-video/12245831/
Wow people are getting this worked up over a friggin drone? I think its awesome. But Im from Florida. 3 years of being stuck in this hillbilly state, Ive realized I can count on most Nashville people being utterly dull and unimaginative, and sometimes dumb. Town of the average.
This is a free country. If you don't like Tennessee then get out. Go back to where you came from. I do my research on my city and we are one of the best cities in the Nation. I respect your rights to freedom of speech but if you're going to use your freedom of speech to talk about the people of Nashville atleast speak the truth. Thanks.

By ratings we scored #2 behind NYC, think we proved them wrong!
Awesome video!!!

Watched this drone as much as we did the fireworks. I heard at least one spectator remark on the UFO come to witness the fireworks.

Great video, thanks for sharing!!!
Great video! What system are you flying?
What is the song being played for the first 2 minutes? Sounds like Smashing Pumpkins

Robert Hartline pushing the limits, bringing home the goods. Great Job!
Fantastic job man. Was it a Quad or Hex you were flying? Would love to know more about the setup you use.
Absolutely amazing!
Was that the stock Ph2V+ camera or a GoPro? Also, did it get hit - any damage?
how was this filmed?
a camera on a drone
Corbin Dragon thanks, yeah I figured that's what it was and later confirmed it.
We saw the UFO fly over us too, good capture of the fireworks.
Who is doing the music for this?
Hey would you be willing to do a video interview???
Wait are people getting worked up because the drone might have been struck by a firework? I'm actually confused.
We parked in that parking Lot and we saw the plane or drone.
We saw it over the Gateway Bridge "Korean War Veterans Memorial Bridge"
Thats sick....awesome....
