I watched the previous years of this New year's special before and what I noticed this year is that most of the artists were not present we can look at it as sign of opposing to what Russia have done.

I had to watch this whole thing just to stay informed about how bad things are going in Russia. Clearly really bad. Right after telling them that they live in the most hi tech country in the world at 7:40 they have the song about wanting the biggest piece of the pie and living like a criminal, it's a very subtle bit of propaganda on how the entire country of Russia behaves towards the rest of the world. Watch that song, it explains Russia pretty clearly. The masses there must love it.
I remember my first New Year in Russia in 2006. The prazdnichnyy kontsert was always lame. Many of the same faces are still present, although much older and many of the women have had a lot of work done. I used to have an appreciation for the Slavic beauty of many Russian women, but now it is kind of overshadowed by the shallowness of their intellects and the darkness of their souls. As lame as the New Year concert always was, as it has become increasingly political, it has become unwatchable.

Bad example, since it is a sentimental song about a soldier missing a girl and was equally popular with the allied soldiers. I remember my first New Year in Russia in 2006. The prazdnichnyy kontsert was always lame. Many of the same faces are still present, although much older and many of the women have had a lot of work done. I used to have an appreciation for the Slavic beauty of many Russian women, but now it is kind of overshadowed by the shallowness of their intellects and the darkness of their souls.
As lame as the New Year concert always was, as it has become increasingly political, it has become unwatchable.
