    LOVE this. "You just see the bands loading their gear up onstage, setting their stuff up, tuning their own guitars - it's kind of silly to say now but it was a huge eye-opener to me that people in bands were the guy who worked in the coffee shop, or worked in the bookstore, or were going to grad school. Being in a band that made you superhuman, it was just something you did because you couldn't not do it. There was this whole world of music that playing in arenas was not necessarily the goal. ...That ethic and scene that was happening in our backyard was really important to me.     Was interesting to watch how at the start, Ben’s body language seemed defensive and reserved but by the end it was like he was talking to a best mate. Quality.

      Totally agree. The arms crossed and he had a look on his face during the postal service comment the guy opened with.

    I like the Seattle Mariners. I love the St. Louis Cardinals. I think Ben Gibbard is a musical genius.
