This reminds me of having a small CRT tv in my room as a kid. The glow from the tv when the lights were off. I'd play this late into the night and when I'd get tired, I'd just tool around with the options or reflect on my season stats just for an excuse to listen to the menu music.
First time I remember playing was when this music began as soon you pressed the start button, you immediately felt the good vibes that this game was gonna be great and intense.
@WillFiteHD I wouldnt turn of nhl 10 until I heard Keys to the city one last time... reminded me of nhl 99 and 2000 soundtracks the way it'd pump us up for a game
First off, I really dig the NHL 99 menu music, brings back memories. But you guys are totally wrong about NHL's music today, which rocks. If you do not enjoy "Rock You Like a Hurricane", you have no soul.
I always think back to this song when thinking of the older nhl games...love this one
A short version of this track was used in NHL 2000 sometimes when the game was suspended because of a face-off, icing, offside or whatever :D
Goosebumps! One of the very first PS1 games I own and played.
This piece is probably my favorite menu music from 99.. I'd love to hear this music while hanging around the navigating menus :)
Mostly in nhl 99, all i did was listening these tracks and check player names and their statistics :D yeah i was 10 years old :D

Oh man, does this bring back some memories. Rented this game on a whim 14 years ago, been a diehard hockey fan ever since.
I've always enjoyed the soundtracks for the NHL games, even NHL 13, but this old stuff still stands out to me.
this was also in NHL 06. it played after the game was over.
I have NHL 99.
Coby Schoolman what platform?
PlayStation, but I play it on my PS3.
Coby Schoolman got an early model i see, before they took away backwards compatibility.
TheArcadeProductions All ps3 models play ps1 games. it was ps2 backwards compatibility that was taken away
