- This is a cake I have been wanting to do for a while because I have wanted to play with this Edible Velvet Texture Spray. While this is not a cheap product, but it is well worth it and believe me, I will be using it again soon! I also wanted to do this fondant decor in a similar way to another cake I did previously with wafer paper. I love both! The paper is more delicate, but it does work with fondant also.

As always an amazingly beautiful cake design . I think the fondant circles look like wheat and are a perfect addition to the cake. Thank you for sharing and keep on caking 💜
I absolutely love the fondant feathers!!

You are the best!
Gorgeous as usual. Loved the veining. Not too much at all! I'm going to try the velvet spray (if I can find it here in South Africa 😊). It looks super easy to use, thanks for demonstrating. You are very talented and I love your tutorials ❤
Beautiful 🥰😍😍👏👏
Thank you very much. P. S you made a masterpiece here
Absolutely beautiful! I don’t think adding the gold was too much at all! It actually really added more tot he design of the cake, which is amazing!! Great job!!
Gracias exelente
Used the chocolate wrap technique on a cake last week. Turned out beautifully! Thanks for sharing your cake techniques and wisdom 💜
👏👏👏
I use velvet spray all the time. I make my own and use a paint sprayer. Much cheaper. BUT before I got the sprayer, I used the can spray. With my butterfly cake, I sprayed black, then put a handcut stencil over the black, sprayed white then used my airbrush for the yellow. So yes, airbrush works great over velvet spray.

Good to know! Thanks;)
Subscribed. Thought I had already done it, honestly, but apparently not :)
5:05 I’m thinking super modern, even slightly edgy/ abstract Thanksgiving. And with that sentence I now completely understand your difficulty calling it one thing:). Love this no-rules-be-creative design (which I’ll try not to slavishly replicate🙄😆).
That's perfect!!
Loved it! Yes the decorations reminded me a lot of wheat or milo tassels, as well as feathers. Do you think this technique would work with wafer paper too or not so much?
Loved loved loved the velvet texture!
Yes! I have done it with wafer paper also, just a different design.
Как всегда красота
Absolutely gorgeous! You are talented! I am a Deaf Hobby Baker. I often see the term for 2 for one ratio making ganache. Does that mean 2 cups cream and one cup chocolate or vice versa? Help me understand thank you so much.
Gi! Yes that means 1 cup of cream to 2 cups of chocolate. If you like to weigh it out, just make sure you have twice as much chocolate as you do cream. You can alter it to however much you want to make as long as you keep to that ratio. Hope that helps!
Thanks for sharing. Can the velvet spray be done on fondant?
I don't see why not;)
@@sophisticakesbymary thanks
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍💖
I am thinking tinted, tempered cocoa butter through an airbrush, with the psi turned down (so you get splatters) might actually work.
❤❤❤❤😂
Thank you so much for sharing. 😘😘😘
I can’t get over how white this buttercream is. Any tips? Thank you
Whipping your butter for at least 5 minutes before adding anything to it helps a lot. You can also add a tiny drop of purple food coloring to counteract the yellow.
Thank you
Lindooooo❤❤❤❤🥰❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰😍😍😍😍🥰🥰🥰😍😍
The fondant circles are like sets of wings, that's probably where you got the feather descriptor from. The large decoration did end up looking like wheat.
