I haven’t caught big Grouper but I have chased huge Rooster Fish in Mexico …that fish doesn’t look like it weighs 57lb

i thought it was illegal to use whole snapper(reef fish) as bait for other fish (grouper) ?

@@wolfsvision940 Maybe because there was a day years ago when fish were so plentiful in the Keys there were no bag limits. I remember those days and they'll never come back
@hansgruber2509 Have you ever posted a positive comment? I was simply stating that it is legal to fish with a legal size snapper. What they do with there catch is there choice & completely legal.
@@wolfsvision940 Yes I know that's legal, do you have evidence that is was legal size? I've seen people post on youtube use undersized snapper as bait.
I'll post a positive comment when I see the once strong dolphin fishery come back.

That's a nice carbo but 57 lbs sounds a little inflated ive been commercial fishing for 40 years and have caught many carbos and rustybellies that fish looks forty green still a nice black

@BudnMarysMarina yes I saw it what kind of scale did you use? I'm not calling you out its just I've seen them to 96 lbs and caught many in the 50 to 60 lb range and the one the fellas are holding looks 40 or so ya'll had a great opening day over here on the west coast gags and blacks won't open up recreationally until Sept keep it up new subscriber

That grouper on the picture is definitely not 57 pounds, even if he puts it right to his chest wouldn't weigh 57 pounds.
