How to Knit a Purse Fast!- Felting Wool- Sentro Circular Knitting Machine

    Tools:
    48 or 46 needle circular knitting machine
    Darning needle
    Scissors
    Materials:
    Knit Picks Wool of the Andes 100% Wool worsted weight yarn:
    100 grams Main color Bag
    50 grams Contrast color Handles
    Waste yarn 2 colors
    Hot water
    Absorbent towel
    Pattern:
    Bag panel:
    Long tail waste yarn Cast on 43 needles 5-6 rows
    1 row single piece of yarn different color (Zip Strip)
    Make 1 long Bag panel With main color yarn 150 rows (you can do more rows to make a longer bag.)
    Waste yarn cast off.
    Make 2 Handle Panels:
    30 rows each
    Waste yarn long tail cast on 43 needles knit 5/6 rows panel add 1 row single piece of yarn Zip Strip
    With Handle color yarn knit 30 rows cut yarn
    Knit 5 rows waste yarn
    Knit 1 row Zip Strip
    Knit 5 rows waste yarn
    With Handle color Knit 30 rows for the 2nd handle
    Waste yarn cast off.
    Finish all cast-on/cast-off edges of panels with a Crochet slip stitch and one chain for each stitch loop.
    Remove all waste yarn
    Sew the handles one on each end if the long panel to short ends of long bag panel - stitch 12 stitches from edges leaving 19 stitches in the middle unstitched for hand opening.
    Fold over the handle and stitch to bag following the stitches on the bag follow the video to see how.
    Fold bag right sides together
    Stitch both long sides.
    Make sure and weave in all ends.
    Felting:
    Soak bag in very hot water
    Pick up with hands and rub vigorously - swish in waterrub, squeeze out the water, shape and repeat the vigorous rubbing and squeezing untill felted to your preference.
    Squeeze out all the water you can by hand
    Shape
    Place on a towel and step on it to press out the rest of the water and let dry.

    Nice bag Stephanie. Love that felted look. Just finished my capelet and a scarf to go with it and I packed it up and forgot to take a picture of it😤 😢. Thank you for all your help with that.

    Such a nice looking bag! If I try felting, I will probably end up doing it in the washer or dryer, my hands would never hold up to doing it manually. But you really have me tempted to give it a try now, that just looks so good!
