I agree with recasting these myths. They are key with helping me be able to remember important concepts. They are a useful and pleasant tool to help spiritual truths adhere to our minds. What an undertaking it would be to adapt these great stories for young people! 🙏

You are absolutely right! The stories of Purana have great symbolism and help us to learn the values of life if the moral of the stories are interpreted correctly. They are like metaphors teaching the truths of Vedanta and day to day life! They have guided me through out my life! Even though ancient they have a great and powerful value today! Fortunately we were always taught these stories with their moral values!

Namaskar Swamiji and thank you for a wonderful lesson. Yes, Ishvara should be appreciated all the time, everywhere and in everything. That appreciation colours everything beautifully, even uncomfortable situations become less uncomfortable. It brings depth to your being, to life. 🙏

Claiming there is only God is wrong because it denies His ability to enjoy genuine relationships. If we had no independent identity and will then it would not be possible to truly love Him, and our suffering from material association would be absurd.
