Have actually had an issue with the setup on the trip and had to pull them out. Will sort what has caused it when we are home with the guys at AAA but I think it may be it MUST be genuine bushes if doing the bags. Keep you posted 😢
@@4x4brothers Be keen to know the cause and outcome of of the issues experienced. Like many others I'm a believer this is the best system available for the Patrol platform but also want to be as equipped with as many pros and cons as possible.
Hey mate great video just wanted to ask why dont AAA Suspension offer higher GVM/GCM other than 3800kg? Most GVM places either have a 4200kg GVM/7700GCM which mine is or the 4499kg GVM.
@@adamsurf76 cheers mate they do go higher with the bags mines 4200 it’s just the ones they had there were on standard lower control arms that’s the limiting factor on the 3800 from my understanding to go higher need to be laminated or on track arms
I’ve actually left the old control system for the manual operation of the coil assist ones all still there so all it is would be join the hose to the new bags and can manually set pressures to desired height
@@LVNITUPM8 spring and airbag combo much less likely, and that is what I am saying, an airbag going on a spring combo leaves you the springs, unlikely both will go, and more likely a bag will go rather than a spring !!
@@DASHOffRoad that’s not what you want time will tell. They did say if I had any issues I can be honest and if it’s something new we trying there is obviously some give and take for development within reason too which I was happy with. The lift plates make the bags sit much nicer that’s for sure
Geez..I though 5K. Don't know what we've spent but would be near 3k atleast. You didn't even count in pegs, ropes, pots skillets, induction cookers. Wow
The compressor for the bags is pretty small so it would take ages to pump tyres up You could tie the system into a bigger compressor if you have one but my tjm twin is in the rear of the car so I didn’t want to hear it when it kicks in to fill the tank so went seperate
I believe that's the "off-road" switch or mode mentioned. From what I understand watching other AAA suspension related videos It effectively turns the compressor off to stop it from cycling so much. Logically that would also need to be done in conjunction with some strategically placed one way check-valves/additional solenoids in the air system to prevent leaking of air and potentially allow "air sharing" between bellows.
@@trickymon yeah juzzy said when he’s doing the walk around my car on the hoist that I got a discount off retail in exchange for testing some new things that are coming for them and getting them feedback on the kit Have a few other suspension items I’m wanting to do that we want to see how it pairs with also down the track when I get about another $7k to spend on the parts and engineering 😂
Keen to see these bags in action. Been considering them myself - ONLY concern like others is in the event of a “failure”. Enjoy your trip !

@@sky73xwill be putting up the information as soon as we know what happened. It is a bloody good system and idea so be good to get to the bottom of it
I'll be definitely getting this setup when I get a van
It definitely seems like best way to go about it it
Nice upgrade. Should make the drive a lot more enjoyable.
Will know soon enough mate cheers

The biggest issue I have with Coil delete is if the system fails, no redundancy. All sounds good until it dies in the middle of nowhere !!

Same as if your arm or spring crack or bend. Seen it plenty of time

I hope this system has improved since I tried it. Mine really wasn’t fit for purpose and then AAA ghosted me.

All adds up really fast hey
Can you use the airbag compressor as a compressor to say pump up your tyres as well or do do you still have to run and arb/tjm compressor?
