I'm on vacation in Summer time...I work in a school....we do chores, run errands, and garden....we will go to park, library, etc.... sometimes do nada lol
@@AnaBelavalTV I understand I have one child, when we were in Tinley Park, my son would do VBS at a church or Wednesday field trips and mostly outing with me....All we can do is our best...
For next year look into Midtown Center for Boys for the nene; it’s like the girls Metro program. My grandson is in it this year. My nephew attended until he went off to college. He’s returning as a mentor. They also have an after school program during the school year.
Wow, my 13 doesn't like camp at the YMCA but we need it all day and everyday with my 8 year old.My other two middle schoolers go to camp but its not all Summer. I need another activity for them. I am a homeschool mom and my kids and I need a break from each other in the Summer. I love them but I can't entertain all year round.
My daughter is going to Freshman Connection! Aleluya! 🙌🏼 Metro Achievement Program for Girls is a good option for girls her age, too! Check it out! It might be a good segment for Around Town, too!
Is it possible to partner with the parents of your son’s friends to trade off “play days” For example, one day each week when one family hosts 4 or 5 kids (I know, one very tough day). Then, the kids go to the home of a different friend each day of the week. Each family trades one tough day for 4 days when their child is taken care of and with friends and their families. 🤷🏻♀️
We did that during quarantine and it was life saver. He spent almost all last week at a friend's house or his friend came over which was great. But with no lock down, (thank God thats over) a lot of his friends are already in camp. He starts next week. Hallelujah. But that is a great idea Peggy.
Love this...
All day camp was a lifesaver for me
It is totally worth it.

That was my summer growing up, errands, cleaning our room and doing nothing. And Mami felt no guilt. LOL

I have grandson that I love and adore..he comes here every day he is 3....she can help me❤️
Being a mom's or grandma's assistant is also a great idea for pre teens and young teens.
Take a trip out west of the city to the country

Thanks for sharing!! I totally agree, you need a break especially since you homeschool them.
