This is by no means a replacement for the old S42V, just a 'DVD extra' so to speak. Also, apologies if you've already seen this but even if you have please like, favourite and comment! :)
My film studies course at college demanded that I made a short film for a large section of my coursework, but the film could not be over 6 minutes in length. As I was already working on Alone In The Dark Remastered I decided to cut it down and deliver a more intense abbreviated version of that for my final piece, there was simply no alternative (if you'll pardon the pun).
I'm extremely happy with it, particularly from the performances of the two lead voice actors. I will not be replying to any negative comments involving the changes, because haters gonna hate.

i used to call this magic moving lego when i was younger!
Thanks for remastering this, it bring back so many good memories!
ARCTrooper Productions same I thought they were like toy story. 5 year old logic! LOL
child hood anyone? this was my child hood 6 years ago
I was just checking out all my old star wars legos and all day since ive been watching these things, used to be my childhood and are slowly becoming my adulthood
yeah I had grown up with the whole lego star wars battles since 2007 when it really popped off. that and Lego Batman, Keshen8 etc, I dont think I would've had it any other way!!!
To be honest, I didn't find out about the original until years after this first came out. It's honestly nostalgic watching it again.
Hi i just discovered, nice to see old minifig
Not gonna lie, I kinda miss the squeaky voices...
Dude, the CGI Graphics in his videos kick ass, besides him, pizzamovies, and several people are so good at this, they should all come together to make movies
you know deviss , yeah that happens the same thing to commander thorn
Your channel was the first one I ever discovered when I was introduced to LEGO. The memories!
If Arnold was in this video: get to DA GUNSHIP!!
Clone customs were still insane back in the day
Voices were fantastic! :D
want to cry. nostalgia
same :)
i think of star wars the clone wars that was the best show
Same
Dude this rocked that u redid all the effects and I dont know what everyone is flipping out about this is one of the best Lego videos I have ever seen! Good luck in making awesomer movies!
Old fashion guys like me preffer the original videos.
Same. However why did he make his rebellion trilogy private videos? I kept watching them when they first came out when I was a kid. Those were some of my favorites.
***** All three were flagged and muted for copyright by UA-cam. I think the sound is very important to those films so I privatised them instead of having people watch them in the incomplete way. Really sucks. :(
***** Indeed it does :( I guess the trailers for those videos will have to be my fix of animation gold ;)
***** will you remaster them after you deal with the copyright issue?
I said that until IV was muted.
One does not simply remaster a masterpiece.
this is by far the best lego star wars video EVER! cant wait for the new one to come out.
Brings back memories
i love vids like these! :) they put much work and effort into these and they turn out GREAT!!! :D
I remember watching this as a kid and I’m now 15 years old
Nicely done! Especially love the attention given to the sfx.
I don’t remember the last time I watched this but it was long before I even knew how to make an account. So nostalgic.
3:16 thats is how the battledroid march sound effect and battledroid voice from SW republic Commando :D
Rewatching this amazing movie is such a great experience!
One of the best lego animations I ever seen!!!
I really loved the shallow focus. Good job! ;)
My computer froze by its awesomeness.
Nicely done!
ah man.... memories
"we like to be fashionably late"
"for a war?"
Good use of the Doctor Who Music!
wow! you are, like, the best stopmotion guy on youtube!!
Hmm, let's put an analysis spin on this!
Maybe the change of ratios was intentional - to symbolise being trapped, closed in, no escape in the scene on the planet. Whereas the ratio of the screen is wider in the ship, this could contrast the planet's ratios, as it's wider, suggesting to us that the troopers on the ship have more "freedom".
Nice job as always Gareth!
i like it!!! good work
I wish you kept the line by Devis "sorry boy, I really thought we were going to make it out of this" (not sure if that is the exact quote). Anyway still amazing work I remember watching the original when I was young about 6-8 and it was always my favourate lego star wars animation.
Although the stopmotion is still a little choppy, the CGI is mindblowing! (Or maybe the CGI is so good that it makes the stopmotion look bad.) Finally the voices are fixed, and I can't wait for the full version! (As well as VI)
UOU!!!!! IT `s very good!! I like it so much!!!
great!, just great video!!! good job!!
Those customs are really good
Spugedu can you please teach us all how to make the flamethrower that the green squad 42 soldier was holding? Please with sprinkles and cherries on top of a double scoop ice cream
Miss this man... Hopefully you will return! :DDD
I bought the new CAC Deviss today :)
Can you sell it to me?
I think that the effects in this one are better and I can't wait till S42 VI is up.
Your videos are awsome!
Just too amazing
Cool clones and nice videos keep it up
@KatKastle It hasn't been taken down, you can still watch the old one instead!
Great effort
That flamethrower guy is awesome!!!!!! How do you make the guns? What pieces do you need? Me and my friends love it!!!!
Love it, as usual! Fantastic CGI, best on you tube (as usual)! Hpw much time did you spend on this/ the original S42V? Can't wait for Galactic City - I am 100% sure it will be worth the wait!
very...AWSOME!
Nice. Inspirational.
This is a big reason why a lot of people still collect Levi or got into Levi in the first place
@EliteNinjas100 None of them are from Delta squad. The orange one is The Commander, the green one is called Tac.

Your a pro in making Films like this one :)
that..was..AWESOME!!!!!!
My son loves this vid. How do you get the guys with smooth helmet top - they look great
I would like some personnal advice, becuas I'm going to strt making Squad 99 sometime this year, camera for birthday and use the b-day money for rebels and stormtroops. one pack of clones for the last survivors.. and i already have my main. Do you suggest getting A LOT of lego building equip and platform boards to make this Squad become similar, yet not as awesome as yours?
@spugesdu Good point, R2 does use oil and fire to blow up 2 droids in the beggining....But droids have armor to protect there insides....lol
Nice
i love this new video
Brilliant film
I'll comment the same thing i did this morning. xD
Amazing as always!
How do you make there voices radio like?
Loving the tags
Where did you get that cool head in 4:15? Please tell me:)
@spugesdu the flamethrower vs the droids seems weird, but not in a bad wy. It's just different, which can be good
Remember back a few years ago when Spugesdu, pizzamovies, darthmilo77 and xxxfancypantsxxx, the Lego Stop Motion giants, were not as big as they are now and they made many, many stop motions in a year because it was for the fun of making it, not making it amazing, just making a fun little movie for people on the internet to enjoy. Now look, they are all still great movie makers its just they spend so long on their respective projects we've just forgot about them.
where did you get the helmet peices on devis and some of the other clones? Did you make them?
EPIC !!! :) 5/5 !!!
Epic CGI i really enjoyed it
where does one get such awesome armour and blasters? I really want to get my hands on those.
@Tfpro1234 The film was involuntarily delayed by a death in the family.
Where did you get those awesome minifigs weapons are bandoliers for the character and how much
Hey spugesdu: How did you make the lighting darker? (like it looked like it was night time.)
Please reply ASAP!!! (because I'm making a Lego star wars: Order 66 film, and I wanted it to look like it takes place at at night.)
I'll try using a black-light.
Thanks for all the inspiration! :D
Great Job!!!
-scproductions2911
what program do you use to make your movies because windows movie maker won't let me upload movies
@twanbosman11 Don't worry. Story, characters and stop-motion are still my absolute priority for Squad 42 VI. :)
Who composed the music?
@smiley2452 Please do! As far as I'm aware things like plastic and microchips aren't fire-proofed and the point of a laser blast is to apply great heat to an object. Wouldn't fire be a more efficient way to dispatch a droid and, in fact, isn't that exactly what is used at one point in Star Wars Episode III? :)
Wat software to do those awesome lasers?
Good video
hey garret how did u like for ur name above the video how did u do that cause I want one
awesome job man alot better
@Tfpro1234 I feel Sorry for your loss pizzamovies my grandma was lost Fellow animator i respect you
wow nice vid i liked
how did you do the special effects in the beginning?
@spugesdu why does it keep losing focus in some scenes?
cool but where did you get the bounty hunters head?
Ah, yes. I love the commando super-weapons at 5:10
@BDFJH This video came out originally in December 2008 - months before he even had a UA-cam account. I say to draw your own conclusions lol.
@spugesdu do you use stopmotion pro
Squad42 better do an epic mission and win!;)
