I was caregiver to my husband, who recognized me and was happy and cheerful to the end at 96 years old. We had so many adventures together. Blessed with good health, I still have the most wonderful adventures with my family, traveling so many places and doing and learning so much. I'm planning this summer's adventures already. I even have a picture of myself holding up my full glass to the sun setting over the beautiful ocean. I have no regrets and much to be thankful for. Raise a cup. Cheers.

My father died from colon cancer when i was just 4, then my mother was diagnosed with ovarian cancer 3 years ago and i had to live alone for 4 months by myself making food and taking care of the bills and stuff while she was in the hospital. I was only a 16 year old freshman i high school but i did it all. Thankfully my mom survived because they had gotten the cancer in time and she recovered but now she suffers from depression. I take this song as inspiration to help me care for her and go to school at the same time. Next year is my graduation and im looking forward to my future...

It's not really that deadly. I'm more worried about the social and economic consequences of shutting down everything for two months. More debt, more people who don't have jobs, small business dying off, etc. I feel like we can make it through that though. And that we will rise better than ever!

people probably aren’t gonna read this whole thing but. this song hits so different... I’m graduating next year and I feel like singing this song in front of my whole school. but I don’t have the courage to. I think that I have a bad voice. and leaving all my friends is just too much. they’re everything. they make my laugh, cheer me up, and I know, that sometimes they didn’t stand up for me in actual situations. but, I know that they won’t do it again, cause everyone deserves a second chance. I lost a lot of friends in 2019, but that’s just life. I lost my 2 best friends. we would actually stick up for each other. now I only have 2 friends that stick up for me and make me feel better. I’m still friends with the people who didn’t but.. I miss my old besties. I used to have no friends for so many years. no one cared about me. I didn’t want to go to school. I was body shaming my self, trying to lose weight, I don’t like when my friends say mean things about me. like what I like or what I do or what I am. you can’t change me for who I am. i was born like this. life can be tough sometimes. but that’s normal. life doesn’t have to be perfect. so never change yourself. you’re that person for a reason. you’re not that only one feeling like this. find new friends. people who will actually help you in stuff. they might be your “friend” but you can find who is fake in a real life situation. I know, I know, I said that I’m still friends with them, but if they really really hurt you, you might want to leave them. cause if they keep doing this, it’s not good find some new friends that actually care about you. cause you matter❤️

I’m 17 now. I just started year 12 in Australia. My brother has had a seizure and I had to CPR on him, my mother wants to die, and let’s not get started on my father. COVID happened…so much has happened and we all still here. I’m proud of you all❤️ Take it one day at a time

One thing I've realized is that what really gives you deep fulfilment is not achieving what you want. It's making the decision to go after it and enjoying the process. Even if you fail and things do not work out, you will be happy that you made that decision because you learned so much and went through a level of growth you would never have achieved otherwise. That is the feeling this song evokes.

Life beat me down in the past, suicidal in my 20's which caused me to be hospitalized as a bipolar, then in my 30's I found myself unable to walk with poor vision led to an M.S. diagnosis. I finally had enough, and took charge of my life. I did it all. I did a bunch of small steps and I'm no longer sick or disabled. My doctors cannot explain me, and today I help others heal. Same thing i was thinking. Some of these comments are so heartbreaking. People suffer so much, but because we live in our bubbles sometimes we don't even recognize it. It crazy how music can be so therapeutic, to point it literally save some people lives. I'm so glad that One Republic is using their platform in such a positive way. My father died from colon cancer when i was just 4, then my mother was diagnosed with ovarian cancer 3 years ago and i had to live alone for 4 months by myself making food and taking care of the bills and stuff while she was in the hospital. I was only a 16 year old freshman i high school but i did it all. Thankfully my mom survived because they had gotten the cancer in time and she recovered but now she suffers from depression. I take this song as inspiration to help me care for her and go to school at the same time. Next year is my graduation and im looking forward to my future...

so never change yourself. you’re that person for a reason. you’re not that only one feeling like this. find new friends. people who will actually help you in stuff. they might be your “friend” but you can find who is fake in a real life situation. I know, I know, I said that I’m still friends with them, but if they really really hurt you, you might want to leave them. cause if they keep doing this, it’s not good find some new friends that actually care about you. cause you matter❤️

One thing I've realized is that what really gives you deep fulfilment is not achieving what you want. It's making the decision to go after it and enjoying the process. Even if you fail and things do not work out, you will be happy that you made that decision because you learned so much and went through a level of growth you would never have achieved otherwise. One of my favorite songs. Life beat me down in the past, suicidal in my 20's which caused me to be hospitalized as a bipolar, then in my 30's I found myself unable to walk with poor vision led to an M.S. diagnosis. I finally had enough, and took charge of my life. I did it all. I did a bunch of small steps and I'm no longer sick or disabled. My doctors cannot explain me, and today I help others heal. Are you owning every second of this life?

i want this played at my funeral. not for people to cry to because I’m gone, but because I lived. i lived through loved ones dying, i lived a pandemic, i lived through bullying, i lived through what life threw at me. i want people to look at my pictures at my funeral not bursting into tears, but smiling. i gotta thank God for every challenge I’ve been through and knowing that good will come out of every bad time in my history of living.

Reading all these coments makes me sad/happy. We all have our... Stuff. This song is amazing. I recovered.
Same thing i was thinking. Some of these comments are so heartbreaking. People suffer so much, but because we live in our bubbles sometimes we don't even recognize it. It crazy how music can be so therapeutic, to point it literally save some people lives. I'm so glad that One Republic is using their platform in such a positive way. It's a reminder that we should be kind to everyone, for we don't know what they may be going through.
