Teachings by H.E. Zong Rinpoche during the Thousand-Armed Avalokiteśvara Preliminary Empowerment

In this teaching, which was held in Marina Bay Sands (Singapore) during the 44th Grand Puja, Kyabje Zong Rinpoche spoke about 5 parts:
1) An explanation of water ablution, prostration and mandala offering during an empowerment (1:38),
2) An explanation of how the Vajrayana (Tantra vehicle) is based on Sāvakayana and Paramitayana and a unique feature of Vajrayana (6:36),
3) A clarification of a common misconception on how it is not delusional to meditate as the deity (10:40),
4) How to set up the motivation by generating refuge and bodhicitta (16:41),
5) How the self-cherishing mind is the cause of all problems to our Bodhisattva vows, and how we can exercise mindfulness in relation to our Bodhichitta practice (21:11).
