To be fair, that's not a classic Old Fashioned. (I mean, there's bitters, bourbon, and sugar -- even if it is cinnamon sugar -- so it's maybe a little similar to a traditional Old Fashioned, but there's no orange or cherry, so the crux of it is off)

I have heard of a few of them. The other person is right in that these are usually served at hipster bar's and were only really invented to get an instagram following and stuff like that. I think its more gimmick based than it is based on people actually drinking them.
