What if Naofumi was the Legendary Zombie Hero? Sounds grimdark and boring, but hear me out for a minute because I've got a twist here with some tonal whiplash. My concept is that Naofumi is a zombie from a world where a zombie outbreak occurred, but was then reigned in over many years. While the infection itself could not be outright cured and zombies would remain a twisted fact of life, the condition itself could be treated, restoring zombies to a level of sanity and intelligence, creating a world where becoming one of the walking dead is basically considered a right of passage; like a second form of puberty. Naturally, Naofumi, having lived in a world where those with a pulse and/or negative views on zombies are in the vast minority, is rather uncomfortable with the notion of being in a new world surrounded by the living, worried about accidentally starting an uncontrolled outbreak and being potentially subject to bigotry against the mortally challenged. Thankfully as a level 1 intelligent zombie with no initial desire to kick off a zombie apocalypse jusr for kicks, he at least has some control over when he wants to say 'Fuck this world.' Can also toy around with the idea of Naofumi actually being rather old despite looking young and relatively unspoiled thanks to advances in reconstructive surgery and embalming. Going further, since Naofumi's undead condition is biological in nature, holy attacks don't really affect him any more than they would a normal person, and in fact might even benefit him. Could also lead into some amusing territory where Naofumi repeatedly gets put into situations that would kill or otherwise grossly inconvenience a normal person, like losing a limb, getting run through by multiple weapons, being poisoned, drowning, getting decapitated, or set on fire, but because he's been a zombie for a while he just treats it as something awkward and embarrassing, like shitting yourself in public or something. Another idea is for a potential Cursed Series: The Plague Series. Whenever Naofumi is sufficiently upset, whatever constraints the system or his own psyche has placed on Naofumi are considerably loosened, making him a walking cloud of death, disease, and zombie instincts. Naturally this would lead to the spread of further zombie-ism, but in contrast with the Necromancer what-if, I'd treat it more comedically as Naofumi's idea of too much unprotected sex or starting a bar fight, leading to more awkward and comedic situations spliced into the initial horror of a zombie outbreak, like Naofumi trying to give the residents of the local graveyard an orientation on how to be an upstanding undead citizen and trying to talk down the local mob as they chase him around with torches and pitchforks. Could also toy with the idea of having him turning the recently dead or dying into zombies and having to coach them through it all. Like imagine Naofumi giving Raphtalia the zombie equivalent of The Talk and both of them having to deal with the concept of her being a demi-human zombie that may or may not keep growing. As for upgrades for Naofumi? Well stats are a big one obviously, but you could also fool around with the idea of Naofumi using a working knowledge of zombie self-care to incorporate monster parts into himself, or to create zombie followers in exchange for the relative weakness of not having an actual Legendary Weapon.
Here’s an interesting what if that probably won’t make Naofumi too op, What if Naofumi was the legendary White mage hero (medic or cleric) only a healer and can only damage to undead opponents, complete Team player/support class type hero
i have a suggestion what if naofumi was the legendary rubber hero, this would mean he has the gomu gomu no mi powers and if ur caught up in the manga you can see some cool things that it can do but i know u don't like spoiling for others so u don't have to use it, but i would like to see how naofumi would use Luffy power from one piece. you can use haki if u want ps: i have to spam this on you're videos so u might do the idea if i do it enough

What if Naofumi was the Omnitrix hero basically shield hero meets Ben 10 he has all the aliens up to Omniverse and he can use the ultimate feature on all of them
Honestly I was mostly expecting zoom basically not the reverse flash but zoom because I feel like zoom it would be a better pick of the for the cursed series but this is your series so I can't tell you what to do I could only tell you what I would have done

i wonder if you could do if Naofumi was Cipher from Ace combat Zero, where he can summon his F-15 Eagle, maybe even other Aircraft for combat, with him being sent after defeating Pixy in the final Mission of the game, would be interesting for a Naofumi to have a Mercenary mind set (Hell you could do one based on each of the 3 Ace styles; Mercenary, Soldier, Knight)
