Lukashenko needs his army more than ever now, as for threatening Ukraine, he remains a joke, a Putin mini me, or as he would imagine. Putin hardly has the man power to send to help Lukashenko anymore so deliver a few missiles as a gesture. The recent incursion into the Kursk area must have made Lukashenko realise that he has to maintain and control media information, to dispel any ideas of fragility. Perhaps his position may not seem as secure as he once enjoyed, but a few photo shoots with his saluting army goes to boost his ego.
