A friend of us was a pilot at KLM and took the cd Deep Breakfast from one of his trips and gave it to us. I was 8 years old that time. I was hooked right away and the cd's are still with me until this day.... still love it. By the way, now i've got a DX7 myself. Thanks for this amazing upload
gran musico de gran sensibilidad, hay muy poco material sobre este artista y ha sido muy bonito verle componiendo, sus discos , no blue thing, y nothing above your shoulders but the evening me marcaron, se le echa mucho de menos ya que parece que esta semi retirado, come back again ray!.....
This is fantastic. Had no idea this existed.... Love seeing the painting that became the cover art for DB (or perhaps painted for it). Thank you for the upload. Brilliant.
My friend and i used to listen to ray lynch and joke about how it was probably just some guy in a tiny room with a computer and a keyboard. well the truth is pretty close to that it seems!
The king of using FM synthesis(Yamaha DX7 used ad naseum in the 1980s) to make music that ISNT mainstream.Tho Ill admit I am not moved by the acoustic chamber music stuff in this video boring as hell! Deep Breakfast is and always will be a classic from 1984 and still sounds as fresh today as it did decades ago a testament to creative genius!
Thanks for your response. I also noticed that the attributed year is not correct; the tape came out on midnight January 21, 1990, not 1991-1992, according to this schedule by "La Vanguardia": hemeroteca.lavanguardia.com/preview/1990/01/20/pagina-6/33009890/pdf.html?search=%22Ray%20Linch%22
Thanks for this video, without a doubt the creator of the neoclassical subgenre, select and overwhelming music
Thank you for this video! I love this music so much, and it's wonderful to see a bit of its creation.

So glad to find this video. His music has become more and more of a part of me.
It’s a huge part of me too!
I've been listening to this music for so many years. To actually see it being played and recorded is just surreal.
Wow! What a find on the first day of 2019! A testament to the longevity of Ray's music!
This video is... magical!!
It's amazing to see the behind the scenes of the songs I've been listening so intensely for many many years...
Genio creador de hermosas melodías que me llenan de alegría
So cool to see the painting from the "Deep Breakfast" cover behind Ray on the couch!

So glad to see this man in his work!
Great Show! I still have recorded in a lost VHS tape. :)
Qué maravilla de vídeo; menudas piezas y cómo se construyen e interpretan. ¡GRACIAS!

I got slightly excited when I first saw it above the sofa!
Definitely painted for it, as indicated in the liner notes. It was painted WHILE the artist listened to album.
Awesome video! I had always wanted to see his composition process and studio setup, but this is the first such interview I've ever seen.
one of the Olympic gods of neoclassical music
5 años después (1996), TVE convirtió estas músicas en sintoniás de continuidad de La 2 TVE.
Genius!!!!

So incredibly sad to know that all this studio and his master tapes are no longer existing. Burned to ashes in a california wildfire some years back.
Yeah :( are you sure the masters were lost?
Gentleman Broncos introduced me to the majesty of Deep Breakfast.
Rush
The Beatles
Ray Lynch
Willie Nelson.
That is my Mount Rushmore of favorite artists
😢y pensar que hace pocos años perdió su casa y pertenencias en uno de esos incendios en California...
