You guys definitely need to react to G-Idle's The Killing Voice episode, its over 20 min of them singing all their greatest hits LIVE, kinda like a highlight medley! That's how i discovered their deep older discography and instantly fell in love w/ them!!! I think u summed it up why they are so good together w/ Soyeon as a genius overall leader/producer and that they all have a collaborative team relationship w/ 4 of the 5 members writing or producing all the gems of this no skip album!

What I Love about Shuhua's voice, is that she's Like a chamaleon. She can do husky soft, she can do that constant high Note, perfect for harmonizing in the background and the lalalas, and she can do a Low deep husky voice, like in Oh my God and Lion. Seriously, so underappreciated, but Soyeon knew what she was doing when she insisted for Shuhua to Debut with them. Her voice is golden and does more than people think, to pop the others' powerful vocal Talents. Shuhua can do stuff with her voice, that not even Miyeon can, and Miyeon's arguably the most stable and clean voice.

I’m guessing what you are trying to say is that she’s the bridge that connects the other members distinctive voices together. It may seems like Shuhua is the weakest link out of them all, and it’s not totally false when is comes to individual vocal/rap abilities. But you need to remember that it’s a girl group and each member’s has their own qualities. Outside of singing, Shuhua actually plays a very big role because of her “savage-ness” and probably also because she’s a foreigner and the maknae, she is the best person in the group that can blurt out comments that are not politically accepted in the Korean culture. She is so unpredictable but not the exclusive unattainable type (that YG goes for), making her really funny.

Shuhua wanted less line. She's not very confident yet in her Korean. We can see that clearly in her Variety Show Workdol. She used to get bashed by knetz because they didn't like how she pronounced korean words. She really lost confiden because of that. I think this is even way back before Hwaa Era. She herself told Soyeon to give her less lines.
If you pay attention to the Details of their songs, you'll notice that Shuhua does way more for their music than people give her Credit for, even in fanmade Lyric Videos. She does Most of the background harmonizing, that makes the others' voices pop out. She has a constant Husky tone to her voice, that blends in the background perfectly. You can notice it, when listening with headphones and paying Close attention.
