You probably don't need that shure antenna tbh, the half wave antennas with line of sight are good to go over 100ft no problem. The leaf antennas are cleaner though, I'll give you that. Something that worked really well for us is to get yourself a dante card, and shove all your channels over to protools/logic, then back out to dante via a stereo output dongle. The protools setup will need to be in another room, and have it's own audio monitoring, and, you will incur some latency that you'll need to account for in your video switcher/mixer. Not a super cheap solution, but, the audio quality of your streams will be sooooo much better. It really is night and day. Luke Hendrickson has a good template for protools/logic, along with some training materials to get whomever is running it up to speed.
Yes I think that's much more common! We are a smaller church and try to run 2 people - One for Projection and one for sound + (automated) live streaming. We make heavy use of Companion to achieve that.
Nice update! We switched a couple of months ago to Vista V3 on our M1 console. I agree with your reasoning, but I was actually surprised on how many more features it added, and V2 had the most frustrating glitches. One time when we were hosting a wedding at the church, I couldn't turn off the movers, nor add effects. It got pretty scary. Vista V3 has had no glitches so far. I love using the stream deck for control over everything. I have it hooked up to ATEM, ProPresenter, and even got it to control Vista (which means I can cue the hazer from anywhere in the building)! Such a neat tool!
Seems very complex. Lots of people and equipment. I am a new media person for our church. We stream with an Apple set up and we all do not like it at all. Always having problems with it. There is so many new terminology that I am lost on most of it. Good looking set up for the booth. Trying to get ideas for our expansion. Thank you for sharing.
This is so random, but we have the same chairs in our sanctuary - hadn't seen those before but I guess they are more common lol This was a great video though, thanks for sharing.
Looks very nice, thanks for sharing. For our ATEM switching we use a Streamdeck XL with Companion. With the presets offered here you can make a preview and program row, trigger macros and even control multiple ATEMs at the same time if desired. Maybe something that could help you, too. Greetings form Germany.
Hey David, thanks! Yes now that we have a streamdeck I can see the potential for one on the broadcast directing. I may dig into those macros. Thanks again.
@@RylandRussell I strongly recommend NOT just mimicking the ATEM controls on the stream deck but rather programming sequences of commands that do something useful with the right timings, e.g. we have a 'leading at the lectern' button that cuts to a wide shot, repositions the PTZ cams then mixes to the right PTZ shot on the ATEM, plus unmutes and mutes the right mics on the sound desk, plus recalls the correct lighting scene. All with one button! Makes it much easier for non-technical operators and maybe you don't need 5+ people every week. 🙂
Hi, I am very interested in your new camera poles. How did you solve the issue with the mount heads on these poles? I need to install cameras on poles instead of tripods but faced with the issue of mounting a quality fluid head on the pole. Thanks in advance
Love the look of those booth countertops. Are they homemade or did you get them somewhere? I’d love to upgrade and get something similar for our church booth.
Hey Nathan, they are just these cheap 12 inch ones off Amazon. 1080 though www.amazon.com/gp/product/B078K1HXQW/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
@@RylandRussell Thanks so much! I love the idea of having the mini monitors stacked like that, currently we have two full sized monitors for the main screen output and the stage display and its a bit of an overkill for a output that you can see at the front of the church from the pro presenter operator's seat anyway
As always, great content and inspiring, thanks and keep up the good work. I have a Behringer X32 Compact, is it possible for me to purchase the scene that you use on Sunday service with all the gain staging, routing, compression, effects and mastering for streaming? Or should I ask that over Jemi on the link you provided?
The existing pan handle had a small hole in it. I put a bolt through both pieces and tightened it down. I added a chair leg floor protector on the end to cap it off.

Great setup.
Thanks Dave! It works well for us :)
Thanks for this video Ryland! I wish I had a 5-6 man team, but it's just me!

Thanks for making this! Super helpful!
Make another video likes this, Amazing set up

Oooo those are cool ideas. I’ll have to look into v3 more. Thanks Micah.

“Be careful when you’re putting that link in…” 🤣🤣🤣
I'm crying lol!
How do you run the hallway sound?
70v speaker system
Could you do a short review video on the bescor unit you guys use on your camera pole?
That's a good idea. I'll add it to the "potentials" list :)
This is sweet! Hi from Ada, OK!
Thanks! Always good to hear from a fellow okie :)
Great video!
I was wondering, though. What's the design for that base for the camera pole under your deck? Custom? Or something you were able to buy?
@@ParkviewProduction here is my video of how I made the pole 😀 ua-cam.com/video/77_gVL4i04s/v-deo.htmlsi=cNhwCa6hkPK3dyZH

Hey! I outline it here ua-cam.com/video/77_gVL4i04s/v-deo.html
what is the name of the rack that you use to change the audio from live to music in the different parts of the church?
Where did you get the craddle for the camera pole that is holding the fluid head?
You are gonna want a riser like this one amzn.to/3kct3Db

Awesome content and well thought out! I was just wondering how you have the imac connected to the decklink duo. Thanks!
Thanks! It’s just usbc I believe. Is that what you were wondering?
@@RylandRussell yeah, thanks!
Which small monitor screens are you using for your pro presenter computer outputs?

How come when we play back tracks program for recording, it seems that is coming in louder?
Like playing tracks back through your board from a multitrack recording? Same thing happens to me
Hey Ryland, great video. What mic is it that you are using?
The lav? This one. Love them! amzn.to/3gsKbmw
@@RylandRussell Thanks. Been looking for a mic solution for announcement videos and that'll be perfect.
how would you be able to remodel a small area?
Same concepts I suppose.
Hey Ryland, when you guys got your bescor unit, did you guys get a remote control extender cord?
Ya I think like 50 ft
Was it sketchup that you designed your booth in?
Yes

Hey Willy, ya just shoot me a message on the cheapest option through Jemi and I can send you our files. Thanks for the kind words!
Do you guys have any used lights that you're not using anymore for donations?
Noticed you have quite a similar stage to us, what lighting do you use as key/fill/spot light?
They are just old school source 4 jrs

What is the cable cam you’re using? Does it have an SDI output?

Do you need an extension cable for the bescor ptz head or is the cable that comes with it long enough?
In our setting we bought an extension cable. Just get whatever you need for your setting. I’ve extended 50 ft before.
@@RylandRussell thank you, do you know what type of cable it is?
Where are you from?
How have you mounted the antenna to the booth?
They are on short kick/mic stands
Ryland, what software did you use to create the rendering?
Google sketchup
Very nice!
Can I ask how you ridged up that tripod handle with conduit?
