- I felt adventurous so I took the route via Pannaikadu and Thandikudi to descend from Kodaikanal. It was a beautiful secluded ride through the forest & villages of Tamil Nadu, as always the locals were helpful and ensured my safety. 10/10 experience for me!
This ride was in the first week of July, please check current weather conditions with the local hotels & homestays before exploring.

Kodaikanal hills do not have gentle slopes to accommodate tea plants.

The ghat section you took is the lower Palani hills section of western ghats.
Hope you enjoyed villages of Thandikudi Mangalam kombu, Thadiyan kudisai , kc patty enroute to Oddancgatram.

This is route I mentioned in your palani to kodai blog. There are couple of other scenic route also.

We went once from Dindugal, Vathalakundu to Kodai, lot of waterfalls.
Again, We went from Palani to Aliyar dam to Kodai. We walked around in Kodai, saw Gemeni Ganesan name at the entrance of a house.
We were in Theni once. We saw Kodai from a distance; we were told there is a road to Kodai.
From Theni, we went to Meghamalai.
Also in this hill range the main plantation is coffee and not tea. This range of hills is not layered like Nilgiri range and hence - we have coffee, cardamom, fruits etc,

yeah its a great route akka, i just watched this video because you have gone through my hometown (ODDANCHATRAM) and also for your question in 6.38, you know from pachalur to thandikudi there are many wild elephants they roam here and there, its a good thing you returned safe, eventhough you haven't encountered one, they are very hostile enough to kill people. and welcome to ODC.

I think it's a jugaad way of using old sarees to make a fence. Atleast in my village sarees are tied up like that to make a "fence".

Old sarees are used by the farmers to keep the wild boars out of fields. Because barbed wires doesn't work for the boars.

Do you use any other software to process the audio ?? How do you get that clarity?
No I don't use any other software, I use a wind muff to cover my mic and I've taped it on the inside of my helmet (near the mouth piece) so there's no direct exposure to wind, also when I'm talking with the visor open i ride very slow to reduce wind noise

Getting OLD!!! always giving advices....however, I have to say one message to ALL MOTORBIKE riders! please keep your eyes covered ALL THE TIME with riding-glasses and/or face-shield. In Europe it is by law as well as taught in driving-schools to safeguard your eyes first (all the time), followed by Head, neck, hands-fingers, knees, etc etc. One insect/fly into your eyes and your RIDE & SAFETY...you can only GUESS what next....so PLEASE

Proper maintenes is only solution every 5000 kilometre go to workshoap and check the cables spark plug and battery backy parts of vehicle
