Lovely and detailed review, thanks, Ash! The zipper tape being untucked is a big turnoff for me, and they started doing this on many SLGs: Pochette Accessories NM, Mini Pochette, etc. The older models from the early 2000s have the zipper tape tucked in, which prevents fraying. Even Coach and Fossil have it tucked in on their bags and SLGs, and it is so sad that LV decided that snipping it off would do. Cheap finishing that you would not see in other luxury brands :(
Their quality is going down sadly. My Pochette Accessories that I bought it January 2020 got a torn on canvas with no reason next to the ring the thin part. I was so sad and disappointed becauseI love it so much beside I got it for a good price for $525 + taxes now the price is twice of that. Canvas as well it is so thin
Great video!! I just bought one yesterday and noticed that my flowers actually matched up at the seems! I was shocked so bought it just for that reason alone even tho the sticking was very visible
I also purchased this key pouch from LV website, I have all of the issued you mentioned and my key pouch smells a bit funny. I was not aware of this issue till I saw some of the comparison videos. I won't buy any products from LV anymore.
Wow your old key pouch is still in great conditions! I bought it mine in May last year and its bottom prints are not aligned at first bothered me so much but now I don’t care anymore stitches are fine I love so much that pouch I have used as wallet for long periods and doesn’t show so much wear and tear just a little bit stretch out, I wish wallets be made that way. The key pouches that I ordered that were made in USA I don’t like them. I ordered one clemence wallet made in USA I didn’t have issues about that just that got glazing issues but overall it was good well made to my eyes. Great video
Hi, what’s the price difference? I paid 100 bucks for a secondhand one which was made in 2011. I wonder if I paid too much for it 😅 it is ok condition. All the metal parts are tarnished 😂
Thx for the video. :) I bought a new key pouch in Monogram recently but there is kind of a dent/crease in the middle of the pouch. The rest is smooth. Should I return/replace it or is it kind of ok? 🤔
I have the double zip pochette and the zipper tape is not tucked in similar to what you showed on the new key pouch. The tape ends stick out and have a rough edge. So when I wore this bag it caused pilling on my clothes. It’s upsetting that the quality is not how it used to be. Now I have to be cautious with which clothes I can wear this bag. It’s very annoying.
Such a good review and detailed comparison- thank you! I just bought a vintage pouch, it’s filthy but I’m going to clean and condition it with Lexol. Your videos are so helpful!
I bought mine yesterday and my flowers actually match perfectly. Also the stitches are tight and the stitching holes are not as visible as on yours. I think you got your hands on a bad one. Lovely greetings from Germany ☺️
@@ashxlreviews the chain with the lock clasp I already submitted to the store and they repaired it once then it happened again and I just stopped using it 😩
@@ashxlreviews because people will still buy them. Why should they care? They’ll still get it sold. One person will pass on the piece while another will snatch it up.
best reviewed i have been seeing so far
Thank you!

Wow thank so you so much for sharing this with us!!! This is really disappointing with LV.

Thanks for sharing! I had to order it 4 times to get one that was made decent. Terrible how there is a huge lack of quality control
This was my third time, still no luck. I agree that quaility is not being monitored.
wow ..... ur video is amazing , so much detail , well done :)
Thanks. Glad to hear you enjoyed it.

It's a keeper! Stitching would not bother me as much.

Thanks for sharing!! Don't let it deter you though, some of their full leather products smell great!

Wow Germany! Congrats and Thanks for sharing!😘
Excellent video ! Thank you
Glad you liked it!
Is the color also different? New one seems warmer, more brown in comparison to the old one. Or am I seeing things 🤔?
Yes, the canavs is different. This is something I've always noticed with DE and MN print from LV that has different production year.
Great information!
Glad it was helpful!
The old version is so much better and unfortunately that counts for must of their pieces😔
I agree!
Yikes! Thanks for sharing these issues with us!🤗
You are so welcome!
Mine is 2020and the chain keeps coming off
That's not good. Is it from inside?
@@ashxlreviews the chain with the lock clasp I already submitted to the store and they repaired it once then it happened again and I just stopped using it 😩
Feels like vintage Louis Vuitton are in better condition than brand new even with decades of use at this point I would rather buy pre-loved
Yep, I'm gettign a pre-loved item in soon, which might just prove your point is correct!
It’s so true!
This shows they quality of LV isn’t what it use to be when it comes to quality of the canvas and how they line it up.
Yep, it's sad.
LV quality has gone down in regards to the print lining up at the stitching points on almost all of their products. Hiring lazy workers maybe?
Not sure but it doesn't seem like it's an issue to them, no matter how much we complain.

Lv is absolutely crazy to be selling those poorly made products for the price they do.
