Here’s an update! I’ve been using my machine with no problems at all. I have used Stampin Up dies, Tim Holt, Sizzix, and knock offs! I have used my old Cuttlebug plates as well as the big ones that comes with the Switch. Today I ran some new thin knock off dies through and my sandwich didn’t work. It wouldn’t cut through the card stock. I rotated my rather warped smaller plates a second time…and everything came to a screeching halt! I can’t get any of the plates out of the back of the machine, and it won’t go backwards, either. Any ideas? I’ve tried to wiggle and pry the plates to come out. I’m so frustrated. Help, if you can!

I bought one when they were releases. It's an awesome machine. You can use the platform and plates from your BigShot if you don't want to use the big plates. Have fun and enjoy!
Great unboxing! I I’ve had my eye on an electric die cutting machine and this one is it! I’m dragging my feet and It’s going to sell out again if I don’t hurry!!!!
I have a different electronic cutting machine and I use a lazy Susan underneath and turn it once the plates are halfway through so I can catch the plates once they’re done going through.
I find I also use my regular Big Shot cutting plates and adapter platforms. Its a great die cutter. Istill mumble under my breath on the Magic mats and find myself switching back to the Sizzix ones.
But can you use 3D embossing folders? I watch another UA-cam do an unboxing right after they came out, she said very clearly you couldn’t use embossing folders. I thought that was strange since Sizzix makes embossing folders. I have a Gemini Jr. and the magic mats warped almost immediately. I got tried of using my heat tool to unwarp them every I used them and just trashed them. Will be interested in how it holds up over time.
Mine, and my friends, experience with the magic mats, they warped, get misshapen. they’re not worth the money! I purchased two and wised I had never brought them!
I still like it a lot. I use my manual machine more though since it's a bit more convenient for me right now. The Switch Plus is great for larger and more intricate dies. I personally think it's beneficial to have both machines.
