- New start with Tschaikovsky’s rococo variations
Days are getting shorter but playing to the spotlight when it is dark outside, feels a little bit similar to playing on the stage so if I could really concentrate as if playing on stage I think it is a very good practice.
And obviously this is the first take ( in years) that I’ve played Rococo so there are only tasks to do and things to improve….
But I love working on repertoires and that doesn’t tire me in the slightest :)
First theme To do all the small nuances which one feels about Rococo in the very beginning completely accurately is actually difficult and I think it is neither the luck in the execution, nor spontaneity but the very accurate control in the solid practice…for my level…
Var.1 To maintain the softness in the quality of sound, to articulate and to play precise intonation. To do all in one breath is hard
Var.2 I noticed I seemed to have been running away from hitting the core of the intonations when it’s fast and high so it’ll take some more days or weeks.
Var.3 -Kadenza it should be played through more often
Var.6 Because I’m playing alone and trying to listen to the accompanying part in the head, it sounds very rigid in tempo and , in general maybe I could’ve played more free in tempo and rubato. And I forget about tempo markings such as pp, diminuendo
Coda Octave places are annoying to work on but I must work on it, omg. Lol
Overall to reduce mistakes I must play through several more times.
Hopefully in one or two weeks times this will get much better but this is the starting point. :)
