Every hour counts, doc! None of the schools have a particular number of hours prescribed. The more, the better ofcourse. Begin with whatever you can manage and then take it from there.
Gaining experience is important regardless of whether it has a big or small impact on your CV. Make every shadowing experience count by picking on lessons and observations. Good luck!
