I just wanted to add few points on highway driving: (Tiago petrol xz)
1) I have used it for 7 long drive (each more than 1500 km in total ) it performed really well. In high speed( 100-140) this car is v calm compare to baleno or i10(drive 1 time).
2) most important point is mileage on highway
In first 3 trip it was approx 20-21
After third servicing I am getting more then 25-26 kmpl in petrol which is surprising for me, in last trip from Bangalore to Cochin I got 25.5 kmpl in meter, then I calculated manually (I filled 25 liter from shell pump before starting trip, and that time distance to empty was 60 km ,mean there was 3-4 liter petrol, after reaching Cochin '590 km from my home' it was having 120 more km left in distance to empty.) Which is 25 kmpl on calculation.
3) steering, suspension and breaking is awesome in this car, which I enjoyed everytime, I do lot of cut and hard breaking sometimes, it always gave me confidence even in roads having lot of potholes I feel v comfortable compare to to other Ford or Marti cars.
Music system in best in class even better then Verna and city ( I can bet on this, maruti is nowhere near)
I have added this comment as every reviewer is in doubt on highway performance so I shared my personal experience with this car.
Apart from this about servicing in tata:
I have heard lot of negative review before buying tata car but my experience is completely different,
1) there will be 2 feedback call after each servicing 1 from service agency crm, another from tata centralized crm, if you will give even 1 point less (9/10) they will ask you the reason and within 1 day they will come to your place for immediate assistance. This happened after my 2 service, I feel v good after seeing all this,
In 3rd service my service representative advice me to change full air kit (free of cost in TATA GOLD AMC) which is smaller and v least noisy as well as less vibrating compare to old one ( new Tiago are coming with this only , for all old car they are changing it on customers complain) after this u LL feel more smooth the silent engine)
Every service under GOLD AMC will cost you 100 rupee, after that it is 650 rupee(without any change m-to-m) which is cheapest in all brand.
Thanks Mayank, help me make my decision. Was contemplating between the Tiago and the swift, but I guess the Tiago is the one I'm going for, besides Tara's built quality is way superior.
I have also completed my 2nd service in duration of 4700km run with average around 25approx and today I have observed after 9700km run with overall average around 23.9km....awesome ...

I am having XZ model petrol variant for half and a year. It's pretty good. I got 27kmpl milage for whole days while on highway with 70-80 kmph speed in petrol variant. For highways it gives normally 22-25 kmpl milage and hence no need to have CNG kit for your car. One of the best car from TATA.

I pre-booked it..around 4 years now...clocked 45k kms....still it is an awesome vehicle. Had to replace battery and clutch assembly...tyres are due for replacement.

ok..positive side is...new design, and perfect handling (no doubt , suzuki,hundai...no other car not give this kind secure and comfort), other part is music system.(it's fantastic) dash board is super..and other features also...the negative part i feel little more engine sound, clutch is not supporting as much low speed.. and mileage is pretty good..bt you should drive tiago smoothly like crct gear shift-rpm then u can get 20+ mileage otherwise 15-18 .... my opinion is you looking for small segment car -no doubt to purchase...

Excellent review! We have a 8 month old petrol XZ Tiago. The ride quality is great and there are lot of nice touches like the ticket holder, lot of storage space, music volume reducing while reversing, speed-sensing auto door lock, auto dimming display when the headlight comes on etc. In our car the wind screen washer is not working, everything else is great, and no rattles yet.
Ours is an XZ with rear wiper. Even the rear washer is not working. I topped up the fluid, did not do anything beyond that as its more of an irritant than a problem.

Happy to see that U made a positive review..😇 Others were just biased and pointed out senseless problems just because of the brand image prejudice. In between, I use a BOLT XT REVTRN which is Pristine White color and the design never seemed awkward for me till now. it's interiors still posses that Jaguar LandRover quality with premium glossy black inserts and Harman Touchscreen Infotainment system

Now if Tata were to provide a bad product you shouldn't buy it just because it is made in our country but this car is really good and at par with so many foreign brands available in the same segment plus the profit TATA makes; a good amount is spent for R & D in various other fields namely their Cancer research centre and bio labs. Other brands take the profit to their country for their benefits though I agree they may be able to give us slightly better comfort.
So i think its all the more reason to buy a TATA product and promote our desi brand.
Go ahead and after driving a few thousand kilometres you'll agree with what I'm saying

I bought tata tiago diesel. driven 5000 kms. Car is in great condition. Tata replaced the air filter which increased the performance have given better pickup. In Bangalore traffic it gives 18 kms mileage per liter . No major cribs for now great car & decent service. hope the tata service centres don't disappoint on service front. As mechanics are used to servicing cabs.

Good Car.I am driving XZA version since last 6 months .No complaints yet .The only drawbacks apart from what is mentioned in the video .
-The AC vent is right next to the Steering Wheel.Uncomfortable on fingers.
-Need more support on IOS platform .
-The side mirrors do not close in automatically .

Sethu Raja bro it's petrol. talking about NVH, out of 5, Noise- 3 (low-medium noise), vibrations- 2 (low vibrations) and harshness- 2. At this price point, i would say it competes with Baleno 😊

It's an awesome car good mileage both in eco and sport mode. I m giving this review after 12000KM drive. I drive my car from noida to kolkata in a single lunch break and single man drive that's me.I got that time 28 KMPL mileage. Boot space I extended up to drive sit in same as boot level. I love bcz of looks and colour brown most of time peoples are take reviews from me and I suggest them to take this xz alloy bcz I 've this one and handling is good. Plenty of spaces inside car likes hanging hooks.
OMG...at 3:50, the left rear wheel is too much off the road, looking the car will gonna topple..

Purchase XZA Tata Tiago ( Auto Petrol), after a detail review against all competitors like Ignis, swift and i 10.
5/5 for the ride quality, the built quality, the interior quality and space, the vehicle stability and braking, fuel efficiency etc.,
i even got 22 + mileage with AC on including some part of Hill road.
i felt AC could have bit more stronger and they could have given lock button.
i definitely recommend the Tata Tiago....

Sir, consider tigor if you're ready to pay 1 Lakh more then the tiago. the money is worth justified in tigor.

swarna mohanty bro I won't sell my k10 as I have kept it in very good condition plus it's an old classic k10 which company has stopped making ll use it for local travelling and tigor for those8-10 hrs long drives, as k10 is an excellent commuter easy handling good mileage and can be parked almost anywhere so m gonna keep it as long as I can.

Thanks for the review. I notice that the engine is a DOHC type. Is this legit? Does it apply to the petrol as well? This would mean it has two rev bands through which you would get power, and there would be a slight lapse in between. Can you comment on what are the rev bands? Have you tried revving to higher values of between 5 and 7 to see if there is any power to be got in that range?

Very well executed by you, as you are an expert, some more queries regarding Tata Tiago XZ Petrol (Manual) performance in hills, I'm basically from Nainital, Uttarakhand, I heard that there is cabin noise and gear stick vibration after sum time, some are saying it is pretty refined & silent engine what is the fact Sir?? and few days back Tiago AMT launched is it better than manual? or picking manual is a perfect choice for better control on car, and plz advise for maintenance cost also.. Manual will be better in the hills, noise and vibrations are there but certain cars have more or less. Maintenance cost is low.
