I've always wanted this car. Saw one at the beach, red with white interior, convertible and I was hooked. Came close a couple times. Even with today's gas prices, I would jump on one if it, "speaks to me". Thank you for the eye candy.
@@KurtWinters my daily driver for the last 24 years is a 73 California Edition Eldorado Coupe custom lowrider I really like your video I would rather look at the car then look at you and the guy talk your cameraman should be filming the car while you and the guy talk but thanks for What Little of the car that I got to see LOL
The color is called Pewter Firemist and it has Antique Pewter Leather Interior with factory painted green accent striping. The horsepower is 365 and really the same as in 1970 (where it was listed as 400 horsepower) but the way it was reported changed in the industry. 1971 was the first year of the fiber optic lamp monitors and return of the hood ornament (but this time "spring loaded.")
I am from Australia I have a 1971 Cadillac Eldorado convertible in fire mist blue it has 4 rows of lourves or vent openings instead of 2 on the boot lid as featured on the above car and it does not have light monitors on the front fenders, so is my an earlier 1971 car ?
My parents had a 71 Eldorado.. it was a darker green and wasn't a Convertible... Good riding car.. Very heavy.. It had a problem cracking the drivers side exhaust manifold...
I aways thought the '71 Eldorado was the prettiest of that series ('71-'78) after '71 it was downhill from there - prefer the coupe though. I remember being 14yo and seeing one for the first time in the showroom (a pretty silver/blue with matching color vinyl top with light blue cloth interior) and couldn't take my eyes off of it!
Nice old iron! Home garages that'll fit that car are still not common today, I'll bet that car is close to the same length as my 3/4 ton GMC Crew Cab truck.
@@kennethfernstrom1297 no the 70 is 400hp the 71 is 365hp. This was the last fast long Eldorado ever. The 72 horspower went down to 235hp. I LOVE THE 71 ELDORADO!!
Wrong that car makes way more horsepower than that. It’s funny to hear people give false facts as if they know cars. Lolol I’ve owned one for 27years and they aren’t slow. Cadillac has never underpowered anything they have made. For the 1971 model year, the 8.2 litre V8 produced 365 hp @ 4,400 rpm with 725 Nm of peak torque @ 2,800 rpm.

Thanks Bern ! you deserve one

It is literally bigger than many boats I see at GRAPEVINE lake LOL
72, BIT THE DUST. 71S' WERE TIRE FRYERS.
Если мне не изменяет память у Cadillac Eldorado, 1971, 218HP. Я могу ошибаться.
