I'd feel the same way if not for the fact that we're fighting a husk of Jenova who definitely isn't as powerful as she was when alive, at least, it's extremely doubtful she is.
Of all the remixes I've heard of this song, they all lack one thing. The percussion needs to be a lot more powerful and THUMPING. Like earth shattering bass. It's the one thing that really helps convey the sense of urgency. I love the rest of it.. the strings are so good. This is probably my favorite song from FF7, and in my top 5 of the entire franchise. This is good. I think I prefer Final FanTim's a little better... but this has more punchy percussion so it's right up there with his. Great work.
I wish that in the new FFVII remake they make the Jenova boss a lot harder, i would love to play that hearing something similar to this version of the song :)
+BitSymphony *SUGGESTION:* Can you do Flying Battery Zone Act 1 & 2 from Sonic & Knuckles? I'd suggest all of the music, but that'd be too much, lol. Thanks and I love your mixes! :)
Jesus christ man you're talented. Don't know how other people felt when they first heard this song.. but I remember it as a "ok this is it. If we don't make it, we AND the whole planet is fucked. So we don't really have a choice" you really captured that feeling. Hope the remake does this track justice like you did!
Though I prefer the first version, since it has more powerful feel to it, I still enjoy this version very much! So I tried to open 2 tabs and listen to both of them at the same time XP
Better than distant worlds I think. Almost perfect, I think it needs to sound harsher. I am dumb with music so that is the only way I can express how I feel.
This is better than the official orchestrated version. That version is way too fast and the violins are drowned out by the drums. This version sounds like the original but with an orchestra. Well done!
I appreciate the accuracy and quality of some of your remasters, that said, even though the limits of ps1 sound quality need to be taken into account the spirit of alot of tracks from ff7 have a very distinct digital * i hesitate to say 8-bit* sound to them. The setting is psuedo cyberpunk film noir. So for a track like this, while it is accurate.... I feel like the spirit of the songs is obfuscated a bit by going full orchestral. I don't know your background but in the future if you could tackle the challenge i'd love to hear a few ff7 tracks that are orchestral while still maintaining a little bit of that synthetic grit the original had.
Thank you! That was an excellent suggestion which i happen to agree 100%, while ff8 has more potential to be turned 100% into an orchestra, ff7 does not, it really needs those synths to shine and to be able to capture it's very essence. And while we're at it, i hope Uematsu does a great job revisiting his own tracks for the up coming remake.
You people are why I downvote perfectly good videos and I encourage people sick of this trend to do the same on any videos they see this dumbass comment on.
Hm...to me the original had a little more... "extremity"? to it, befitting a boss fight. This one, the chance to really pound out some (not all, but a strategic few) of the notes and get the blood pumping is lost, they go quieter and softer and sort of lose the dramatic buildup featured in the original. This version is nice, but it feels like it's being subdued. It feels like there's strength trying to push out but then gets pushed back as the notes are quieted/softened. Not quite sure how I feel about it.
I think that you can get more attention if you expand your remake for OSTs of other games. Not saying that you must though, if you're happy with creating these awesome Final Fantasy remakes still.
+BitSymphony I mean, you've already done a great job in your MGS1 remake so I figured you'll do just as great in OST remakes of other games. Perhaps something from the first Metal Gear or Castlevania?
i hope the ost in ff7 remake is the original osts only remade lol also i hope in the final sephiroth fight when he uses supernova it will last as long as the original did xD
@bitsyphony Hi, I was thinking about making music on UA-cam, I have a passion for the orchestral. What programs do you use, and how do you even get started? How do you keep from getting Copyright Claimed on covers? Apologies for the abrupt question, but you seemed like a good person to ask.
+TheDumbRock Go for it! I use Cubase as my DAW, but any software will do. The key thing is finding yourself some good VST instruments, i use many free ones but I've also purchased a few that are really worth it. I don't infringe copyrights since i don't use any samples from the original songs, they are just that, covers. Just like the guitar covers you see here on youtube for example, it's the same thing.
This is one of my favorite pieces from FF7 but the original trombone/horn sample sounded so awful that it made it painful to listen to. This version is so much better -- I love the brass sound.
I gotta agree with some of the others here - First version was more powerful than this one. The intense drumming, and the bit in the end that made it sound more desperate. This was.. not so much. You do great stuff, though!
This song always had more final boss energy than the actual final boss, especially when you consider Jenova was the real villain all along
I'd feel the same way if not for the fact that we're fighting a husk of Jenova who definitely isn't as powerful as she was when alive, at least, it's extremely doubtful she is.

+BitSymphony I think you're celebrating FFVII Remake :)
We need more covers from FFVIII & FFX.
Zanarkand theme is missing ^^
+BitSymphony Always love your work!
+NDRJ05H Gaming Love those games and those songs! IT's my childhood! i will work on them :)
+dragleras Absolutely! :)
OMG!! AWESOME!
This theme is so epic. I will never forgot how i kept prolonging the fight just to hear it through.
This theme is so epic. I really love Final fantasy VII OST. Its very special
Jesus christ man you're talented.

Sounds like final Jenova theme and FF8's main battle theme together. =]
YES! This piece is the best
Now this remake has crunch/ bite to it. One of the best remakes of this songs.
Only complaint it too damn short :(
Goddamn! thank you for keeping it as faithful as possible. This is how remaster/remakes should be done.
Dude. They need to hire you to do the 7: Remake soundtrack.
1:45, this is the only version of this song that matches the epicness of the original for this swell, great work
Another upload by BitSymphony, another day closer to FFVII: Remake. HYPE!
I hope the actual remake is just this.
Actually a very underratet piece of Boss Battle Music... good work!
goosebumps
This one gave me bumps holy crap
Very nice. Brings back memories!
Beautiful!
To be honest, this theme i dont liked, but your remake make my love it.
awesome! can't wait to hear your new take on mako reactor =)
Glad to have you back, better than ever no less.
Brilliant !!
YES! YEEES! I loved your rendition of this, sounding good so far. My favorite Uematsu track.
This shows power.
awesome!
Wish this will be in the new remake. It'll be interesting how the fight against Bizzaro Sephiroth will be with the new battle system
I liked this more than OWA. Also like how loud it is compared to your 1st try.
+Nidav3 Yes, the first version is not as powerful as this one, i think it worked out better!
Been waiting for this one! So good.
my favorite part of this entirely awesome is always...the finale. it's kind of epic.
Perfect
This song with the Knights of the Round giving 9999s to Jenova. I hope they don't mess it up on the final installment of FF7 Remake.
This is an awesome remix!
Hell Yeah !! FFVII still kicking ! Hope the remake will be as good as the old one, if they finish it before i die....
This is so awesome !
YES! :)
Great
I'm disappointed this track only plays once. Would've loved if it looped a time.
Otherwise fantastic!
DUDE! THIS IS AWESOMEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! (CATCH A RIDE STYLE)
I need a Metal version of this!
Though I prefer the first version, since it has more powerful feel to it, I still enjoy this version very much! So I tried to open 2 tabs and listen to both of them at the same time XP

buffff que nostalgia ojala escojan estas pistas para el remake
This is better than the official orchestrated version. That version is way too fast and the violins are drowned out by the drums. This version sounds like the original but with an orchestra. Well done!
This remake is just per-fect. You could easily work on the next FF7 OST lol
Congrats !
Oh. Yes.
This is so fucking good man. you dont even know.

WE GOTTA WIN BARRET!

If I download this song, could I use it in a UA-cam video?
NEEDS MORE PERCUSSION
sorry, your first version was better, this one is really good, but your first version just got it! thanks for the awesome music!
+Francisco Rosales Tirado Thank you! I actually prefer this one over the first version i made, i think it packs a lot more power and better sounds.
+BitSymphony Agreed! This version is much more powerful.
@bitsyphony

Let's try that again.
Edit: Forget it, can't tag people apparently.

So, is this in the remake😅
This is one of my favorite pieces from FF7 but the original trombone/horn sample sounded so awful that it made it painful to listen to.

1 Hours Sound Creft OK?

This feels to repetitive and again is very ambient like other remixes.
