Ah heck...you've NEVER heard a Merlin have you!!!! No disrespect to the Beaver or its big brother the Otter..grew up with them and they were marvelous.....still are in lots of places.
Probably refurbished/restored and still flying. To my knowledge there are at least two firms who make a living out of resurrecting old beavers. They are so good at what they do that they can't get enough of them for the demand.

The haitian "air force" had some of this kind, by the time I lived there (1976 - 1980), I wonder what became of these wonderful machines...

Not sure I'd want to stand that close to the runway, if things went side ways that big prop would turn you into hamburger
