I dont mean to sound trite but it seemed like James was actually listening more than he normally does, to his host, and the two together hearing eachother is always greater than singularity. James is really great but its also good to see him harmonize with others despite his celebrity/standing.

The other man is so naturally strongly confident and humble :) so they are both students and masters of the same topic (wine)

Isn't Pouilly Fuissé in Mâconnais? I thought they said initially that they are not including wine from this region?

Kind of cringeworthy for a wine merchant not to know that Pouilly Fuisse is in the Macon.

I thought Greg said he was not including Macon, which was where the first wine Pouilly Fuisse come from ?? And James was not doing much of a wine challenge, he was simply descripting what he was tasting without guessing what wine/year were they and where the wine came from. What kind of wine challenge was that? Anyone can simply rate them...

You are right, Pouilly-Fuissé is in southern burgundy. That really bothered me too.

I prefer Sauvignon Blanc and it’s crisp citrus to Chardonnay but an continuing to try more Chardonnay.

French chardonnay is a lot crisper and less oaky than Californian Chard. My mother doesn’t like Chardonnay but I purchased a french one and she loved it. You don’t have to spend a lot either you can go 20 or 30.

Boo Kocky I have enjoyed some French Chardonnay styles. Chablis for one. Some additional Burgundy examples as well. Thanks!
