I react to the idea of Penelope being revealed to be Lady Whistledown, Colin ending things with her, Francesca and Lord Kilmartin growing closer, the Featheringtons losing their estate and the Mondrich's adapting to high society.

It doesnt fit her character. They cant make her up to be this woman who had the most amazing marriage ever and had the love of her life and is now a widow who is holding her late husband dear, just so to let her hook up with this random guy. She wont remarry I guess so if they get juicy its even against her moral code...but hey, she hasnt managed to raise her sons right either. They are all male wh*res or used to be. Colin visiting prostitutes just made me gag.
My mom have 73 years old and she felt in love with the perfect match for her so, yes, love is possible at any age ladies and gentlemens.

It's been said that binge watching has had some kind of negative effect on the quality of TV series. But viewers are used to binge watching. A return to weekly episodes is coming soon but as a compromise for now it is splitting seasons in half with release dates.
Personally I think part of the reason is because their story is composed of two separate parts. The love story was told throughout season 1 and 2 so they really couldn’t drag it out to 8 episodes but also Unlike the other couples Pen has a major separate story line of whistle-down so that has to get some main plot line energy as well.

Agreed this is a romance story not a drama, so it's not about the destination, it's about exploring the interactions that get Penelope and Colin together in the end. True love means that you accept someone, for all their faults. So I believe he will forgive Penelope.
I'm rooting for Francesca and Lord Kilmartin! They have a genuine connection and good chemistry without having to use words! Also come on, Polin and Violet and Marcus! ❤
in the books, colin finds out pen is lady whistle down before he proposes, but when the challenge is put forth and cressida figures out about pen being LW and blackmails her, he proudly declares pen as LW in a ball thrown by Daff and Simon. with both of their families support, people don’t make colin and penelope social pariahs, but they live a more quieter life writing books. Francesca does marry Lord Kilmartin, but unfortunately passes away a few years into their marriage. Francesca is left childless, but her endgame love ends up being Kilmartins cousin, Michael, who was Fran and Kilmartins third wheel friend.
I read the books but it's huge spoiler here for people who don't ;(

I think it’s going to be revealed within their inner circle and Penelope will transition from Lady Whistledown into a literary career. They may become a writing couple similar to the Shellys and/or go explore the world. I think the torch of Lady Whistledown will be passed onto another. Either directly or indirectly.
They are hyping up Eloise this season for something. I’d love it if she wrote a column.
@@chriserony She’s who I had in mind too. Although I’ve since changed my mind. It’d have to be someone on the fringes. I don’t read the books, so I don’t know how the story is supposed to go. The only thing I’m certain of is that the Lady Whistledown drama will be resolved neatly in a bow in regards to Penelope because she *will* have her happy ending and because Lady Whistledown must go on, someone must take up the mantle. Of course, it could continue to be Penelope but I don’t see how they will be able to reconcile her still being Lady Whistledown and writing her scathing remarks while the whole Bridgerton family knows who she is. What will she do when it’s Benedict’s season? She’ll have to give him the same treatment as the others. Surely the Bridgerton’s won’t be ok with that. Or maybe they will. Who knows.

@@eyeofeliza I meant more along the lines of the people within the main characters of Bridgerton’s ‘inner circle’. The people they share a confidence with, aka not the general public. So this may include lady Danbury and possibly even Queen Charlotte, but yes, I think it might just be some members of the Bridgerton family that find out. In a lot of ways it seems like in order for Lady Whistledown to continue it *has* to be with Penelope. But I’m still trying to find a way for Penelope to continue to be Lady Whistledown and for the Bridgertons to be ok with it.
I think Pen’s sisters will be pregnant but will have girls. While Pen and Colin will have twins one girl and one boy.
Pen and Colin will be ok. It does not matter if he finds out she is LW. He will be mad at the beginning but he will come around and they will get married and he will be supportive. This guy either has not read the book or just full of hot air.
Read the book. Colin finds out Pen is Lady Whistledowm, and he’s angry at first and then gets turned on.
Yes, but the show LW is very different from the books. Colin hates people who hurt others and show LW has done that, whereas in the book Colin specifically points out that LW only ever insulted or targeted people that deserved the attack. Book LW would never have ousted Marina, or Eloise, or used her column for petty revenge. They have built this scenario to be a completely different reaction.
@@singtrue25She did that to Marina because she didn't want Collin or the Bridgetons hurt by her in scandal. With Eloise, she called her out because she had to in order not to blow her cover and keep the queen from thinking it was Eloise. She's had her reasons. Penelope isn't perfect, but none of the characters are. Perfect characters are boring.
@@AlpacaEmpressexactly! And yes, Colin said he’d destroy whoever LW is, but it’s gonna be complicated after he learns that the woman he just proposed to is LW, and not some other random lady in the ton.

I really hope Penelope and Eloise are friends again. I’m pretty annoyed about that part change more than any of the other changes. Their friendship was so wholesome in the books.
Of course Polin will have a happy ending. Netflix may stray from the books here and there but it's fairly been consistent with the pairings. Francesca and John's story this season is there because they need to set up the premise to Francesca's story which actually makes me sad because watching them fall in love is adorable 😢
What makes me wonder though is what they'll do for Eloise. I wonder if they'll kill off Marina and bring back Philip Crane to (kinda) mirror the books or if they'll find a completely different love interest for her 🤔
Maybe Marina dies in childbirth. Or she kills herself like she did in the book but I'm not sure if they would go such a tricky route. Whatever the case, Marina wan't happy with Philip last time Colin visited her.
@DutchXFangirl ah the childbirth thing is likely. They could even make it be like she wasn't happy so she didn't try to fight and live. Or they could really go the s****** route like the books. Will be pretty controversial, but Netflix does like tackling complex topics like this- they did keep the Daphne/Simon thing (though modified). Plus the actress for Marina has said some pretty inflammatory stuff lately, I don't think Netflix will feel so bad for killing her off lol. Do not bite the hand that feeds you and all that.

I doubt we'll see the actress playing Marina again. Didn't she shit on the producers of Bridgerton for not caring about her after she had a mental breakdown or something?

the books are so much more interesting and sexier than the tv show, they concentrate on ONE couple and not all these other characters this season is like skimming the top of the story, its a shame only season one has been on par with the books imo. read them and see

so here is what's going to happen in part 3 Penelope is going to be pregnant and at the same time she isn't going to tell anyone that she is lady whistle down because no one will make her not even her best friend Eloise because she knows it's Colin's 😮 then at the same time she is going to be handed her mother's house and all assets because of the documents and that's how she and Colin become a family so quick and live happily ever after ❤

violet and marcus didn't come out of the blue, it came out of violet's garden being in bloom. So when marcus entered the show and focused on violet it was a total aha moment.
Have you not read the books? Kilmartin sets up Francesca 's story...she marries one lord ...he dies...which sets up her marrying his brother...lord kilmartin 2.
The whole “they won’t make thing” is annoying. I know Julia Quinn has made a lot of changes, but their partners are going to stay the same. 😊

Me watching this show is so confusing I'm 17 and hate these kinds of shows but I can't help myself one day every year or so watching this show im now anticipating the day the next 4 episodes come out
I have a theory that the Mondrich family is a playing key role because their daughter will be Gregory’s future wife. She’s the sister to a baron and within a decent age gap from Gregory, Otherwise why are they relevant to the show? Could be Building a slow churn back story for us maybe? I can only assume there has to be a reason we’re not seeing yet. Also I’m really annoyed there are more/ longer scenes of the Mondrich’s and Pens sisters than of Colin and Pen. What a let down the show was

The majority of people watching this show have not read the books and should not be expected to. BrainPilot is just creating accessible content to those of us who would not, and would of course be asking if Pen and Colin are endgame with all the well set up tension. Believe it or not, the show can be more fun that way for some. So many spoilers in this comment section.
I'm a little disappointed of how Colin expressed his feelings for Penelope it lacked something she said you don't have feelings for me Collin and he said but if I do have feelings for you. It would have been better if Collin would have said I do have feelings for you I have fallen in love with you. Penelope's been waiting to hear this her whole life it could have been said more romantically. And then instead of him saying I love you will you marry me he said well aren't you getting out the carriage don't you want to get married. It was just so plain how he said it. This is supposed to be the most romantic experience for Penelope especially when you almost made love in the carriage I just think the marriage proposal could have been said more romantic and sincere. I really love bridgerton series but seeing this part how he proposed wasn't very romantic. Will Penelope get her happy ending I have to say I'm very nervous about this I'm praying this has a happy ending.
Did you guys miss the part in the trailer where Cressida is the one that tries to take credit for lady whistledown? I think rather than exposing her Cressida will try to blackmail Pen thinking she's too scared to admit it's actually her
That is what happens in the book.
The new show runner has said that the season will end on a happy ending. As far as two releases, I would definitely prefer a weekly release over waiting a month in between

Genuine question: Why should we care about Mr. & Mrs. Mondrich's storyline???? It always seems so random to me and they spent a hood amount of time on their story this season. I'm confused on why i should care.
I just wanna thank the director and scriptwriter for making movie Collin 100% MORE LIKEABLE and less like a douche for a character
Colin so find out about LW, and he will be furious but I think when she is exposes, he will be more concerned about Pen and forgive her. I just hope Eloise will forgive Pen too.
This is a pretty negative outlook of the potential events in season 2. Colin and Penelope will be fine otherwise this wouldn't be their season. What I'm curious about is why queen charlotte placed a bounty on lady whistledown's head this time. Maybe because she was tired of her diamonds choosing their own lovematches instead of hers.

I was thinking...even though it feels unrealistic, I feel like they'll have Colin on a journey of accepting Penelope anyway. And if Colin can accept her, why not everyone else? lol Idk. it would be silly and I kinda hope it doesn't go that way.

i hope she doesn’t get exposed to the ton like in the books no one but collin knows not even eloise and he only finds out after she’s already been whistledown for 10 years and he doesn’t expose her it just causes a bit of a rift in their relationship

You’re crazy…Polin is endgame. The show runners said all the siblings will end up with who they are supposed to be with from the books.
No way they do this then they destroy there love story.. I believe that Lady Danbury will end up being the one to help them..if you know you know... Pen is marrying Violet's child her dear friend and she's a major confidant of the Queen.. it will work out in the end she made mistakes but the Ton was horrible to her even her own family .. Pen is flawed but wonderful person.
omg i do hope yoru predition is not true. as that would be a major change for the worse from the books, which when colin finds out, he is angry but then jelalous then proud of his wife, pen helps him become a writer which is all more satisfactory. how can they no have a happy ending?

@@BrainPilot I think they both will come around. After all, Lady Whistledown has saved them both while they were making mistakes/being in trouble. Plus, Penelope didn't hold back to humiliate herself either, so the score is even. I hope both will realise in time that they actually owe her a lot and come up with a plan.

Tragic ending…No no no please no
This season is poised to be the next "Game of Thrones." The actors deliver outstanding performances, the sets are magnificent, and the story is fantastic, albeit rushed. The chemistry between Colin and Penelope remains breathtakingly infectious and pure. However, the accelerated plot prevents a full exploration of the main characters' emotional arcs. While I love the show, I must admit some disappointment with this season. Rather than focusing on Colin and Penelope, the story shifts its attention to Francesca, who will have her own season. They have introduced unnecessary new characters and multiple parallel love storylines, and there are too many extraneous dance scenes consuming screen time. This season could have been much better with additional episodes. I'm uncertain about my excitement for Part 2, which will consist of only two episodes. How will they address the revelation of Lady Whistledown's identity, everyone's reactions, and the remaining story within such a limited timeframe?

There is said in a lot of articles that the second part is also 4 episodes.
The thing about the plot, unfortunately, is due to the production’s intention to actually merge more books into one season. So it is very probable to see in the fourth season two stories at once. I guess that’s the reason to kind of prepare it with a lot plots discovering around.
I think Fran may get married in this season too so they can work through that during the next season and then down the line she'll have her own season which is centered around her love story. i dont want to spoil anything lol.
It is definitely 4 episodes more. & Francesca's story NEEDS to start now so that she can have her season. (Book reader here, but no spoilers!). The Benedict & Mondrich stuff is the boring filler of this season IMO. Cressida's back story is important light and shade and may be plot relevant and I like the Danbury/ Violet stuff. Can't wait to see what happens.
