wrong air to fuel ratio and valve timing cause remaining fuel mixture (after combustion in the cylinder chamber) flow through exhaust pipe and burn. This causes expansion of volume inside the exhaust pipe and makes noise

This backfire is achieved with something called a burble tune Wich is makes the car run very rich and dumps alot of unburnt fuel into the exhaust and with the right exhaust it will collect and then ignition within the pipes cause magic

Ibrahim Yavuz idk but i know ecutek makes a tune for the gtr to make it do this. It messes with the fuel to make it run rich and bur s the excess i believe. Search Ecutek on youtube and look for their 3 minute video. The tune makes the gtr a literal flame thrower!

ExplodingScience its actually a system that delayes ignition because of it some fuel doesent combust in the cylinder and it happens in the car exhaust..not trying to be a smartass just sayin :)

I like how open the exhaust is, because it sounds so mean even on slow acceleration. I could do without the absurd backfiring though. That's about as dumb and obnoxious as the lifted truck bros that put train horns on their rigs and blow them at other drivers trying to scare the mud out of them. The backfiring is all for a cheap, douchey thrill.
