Hard to believe this incredible song stalled at #63 on the Billboard singles chart in the fall of 1973. It's now the fan favorite at every Steely Dan tribute band concert. I always love the moment when California tumbles into the sea to the bleat of a baritone sax -- here at 3:43. What a great group effort on this one!
Bloody amazing! Not only the best cover I've heard of one of my favourite Steely Dan tracks, but much better than the Dan playing it live themselves. And a great crowd, too. Great!
