Love the Telfi cardigan, I bought the pattern after seeing your Christmas one ❤. Not got round to sewing it yet, so hoping it makes it in the voting 🤞. So glad the season of East dress made it! I've been seeing all the Sequingirlie versions and wonderingif it will suit me, I'm going to get the pattern and sew along with you 😊. Thank you for taking us to Shropshire, it was great fun x
That balloon cardigan is adorable - I’d vote for that one. Love the sleeves and the simplicity of the pattern. The view they show in lace is also very pretty, even if it’s not necessarily super functional.
Lovely to meet you on Saturday. I thought you looked familiar but I have only just found your blog so I wasn’t sure. It was my first time at the sewcial and everyone was so friendly. I have made the Pietra pants - they come up baggy in the crotch for a lot of people. I love my second pair but I look like a rapper in my first trial run lol.
Hi Christine, thanks for another great vlog. I just can't get away with the current oversize 'boxy' look that's so popular. 'Way too big' and 'bell tent' spring to my mind! 😂 Don't forget, everyone, that Fibre Mood patterns don't include seam allowance (unless they've put that right) so you have to add it before cutting out. They don't exactly shout it from the rooftops in big red capital letters either! That's why my Edith blouse lives in the naughty corner...
Oh Christine I go to Shropshire Sews buy had car trouble so didn't make it on Saturday. It would have been lovely to meet you and Steph as I have followed your vlog from the beginning. Hopefully see you there at a future one. Great vlog as always xx
Beautiful buttons, great vlog as ever. I took a huge bag to the show last year, only problem was I did fill it then had to carry a heavy bag on the underground and train, this year I’ll have wheels or buy less fabric 😳
Hi Christine excellent video as always. I am looking forward to your sew alongs and I would like to see the Itch to Stitch Teifi cardigan. The Teifi is very similar to a Sézane cardigan I have been looking at it, it is pared down and very stylish. I don’t know if you follow Sewing Bunny she has done a first rate see along of the Pietra pants which may be helpful to you. I love the fabric of the problem jacket and you have done a good job rescuing it so wear it with pride! 💖
It’s always the most difficult part of sewing fitting correctly, I have avoided oversized garments in the last 5 years or so as I got older, I felt I began to look as if I was wearing someone else’s clothes, I feel much happier now I have a more fitted look, I have also stopped making elasticated waist trousers, since I have developed the dreaded menopause tum, as I ended up with so much fabric to fit hips and tum area the elasticated waist looked awful. It’s a shame about the jacket as it’s a nice pattern and fabric is lovely. We live and learn as we sew along. Buttons are fabulous.
I'm with you on the jacket you are wearing, or rather, that is wearing you. A thinner more light weight fabric would probably be a better choice. Colours are lovely on you but it definitely looks huge. Maybe if you attach a strap with a buckle or even Velcro, to go around the sleeve ends to make them fit closely it will help. Worth a shot?
How exciting you ate on the catwalk with year! Looking forward to hearing all about that ♥️
It will be an experience. Trying not to think about it atm xxx

Yes I also prefer a more fitted look but wanted to try something different. xxx

It was huge before the lining went in. A bit better now but not my favourite make xxx
