I used to listen to this biking back from marching band practice trying to get lost in the dark, just ended for me for good last year n i already miss it. Sacred song now it sounds so final. Gonna miss my bandmates so much
Same here... I keep coming back to this song over the years. Reminds me of so many things. And if I had to pick a song that best represents Braid, this is the one - beautiful, powerful and a bit solemn. Braid were a tremendous and underrated band. I am grateful for being introduced to them (thanks Chief!) and seeing them destroy it at the Local 506.
lunarvision Oh man I just love Braid SO much! But hey, they're back, still alive and kicking. So that's good news. I'm sure you know, but they released a new album a year or two ago. Altogether, I think Frankie Welfare Boy Age 5 has their best songs. But that's just me. Hard to choose though, because they have so many good songs from main albums and EP's. They have an amazing library of songs, honestly.
@@CharismaStrategies i saw them during the no coast tour. man the bassist wasnt having it. i think he drank too much the night before, or was mad out of shape(?) I had to, however, push the philly crowd out of the way as politely as i can so the guitarist could get to the stage. nobody knew who he was and disrespected him while I took the front and said excuse me please, back in like 2013 boot and saddle. then on stage, suddenly all respect was gained. Man, that look Bob gives you dead in the eyes when he sings or screams something emotional..... Yeah.... I pushed to the front of the stage with my friend woman copilot and I think we earned our spot there for what we did. Amazing set, god I love Braid
he literally is the baby jesus of 90s hardcore/punk/emo/whatever you call it. I love this mans youtube, he has changed my life. guy says he works in record stores for 20 years. but he only uploads the good sheet.
This YT channel should be preserved in whatever federal building preserves critically essential cultural information.
Legit
Serious.

I bought the 7” a week ago after finding this rip. Sounds spectacular on my record player. Thanks Jaysus for inspiring me to grab my own copy

I can't even begin to believe this is almost 20 years old now, mannnn this is so nostalgic.
I remember a bunch of kids in Vegas, with Mr. Spock haircuts and patched back packs, going nuts. Good times.
The bees knees !!! Takes me back ....
I'm 40 now geeze! I still have there 7" inches what a fun band too see live aww..
Simply nostalgic 🖤
I forgot how much Braid sounded like Managra in the early days! Wow.
this is great, stuff i grew up on
I feel like I'm staring down the street and it's way back then...
The only band to have a game named after them. *wink*
If my life was a 7"
Braid forever
and the door slams... it's such a safe sound. I know where I am... I put my keys down.

I remember having all the emocore lps and 7 inchers sold them such a mistake
I still have a t-shirt that features this cover on it that I make my girlfriend wear everytime we do it.... not really, but I should have her wear it.
nah you make her wear it when you do it
I'm literally reading "Breakfast of Champions" right now.
So lucky
Have her wear it and pretend that you're fucking your female self.
Dee Pascali hey it's 2019 anything goes.
